CHPP-1 named after B. Orazbayev: energy and heat for the city

On October 4, 2023, the station reversal began at the Almaty CHPP-1 named after B. Orazbayev. Let us remind you that CHPP-1 is scheduled to be shut down after the heating season for the summer period.

During the plant shutdown, scheduled repairs of the main equipment (six power boilers and three turbine units) with all auxiliary equipment, and its technical diagnostics were carried out.

At the time of launch, the station personnel are fully prepared to begin launch operations. The station equipment was tested in advance.

According to the approved program for launching the station, on October 4, 2023, start-up work began on the turnaround of CHPP-1 with the inclusion of one boiler unit and two turbine units.

– Thanks to the coordinated and qualified actions of all the personnel of CHPP-1 named after B. Orazbayev, organizational measures to turn around the station were completed on time. All main and auxiliary equipment is ready for operation during the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024,” emphasized Alibek Tastanbekov, director of the station.

It should be noted that Almaty CHPP-1, one of the oldest stations in Kazakhstan, is located on the territory of the Zhetysu district of Almaty, almost in the central part of the city, and is the source of centralized heat supply to Almaty. The main consumers of the station are the housing and communal services sector and industrial enterprises of Almaty.

This year Almaty CHPP-1 celebrated its 88th anniversary. The design and construction of the first stage of the Alma-Ata Central Power Plant (now CHPP-1) began in 1931, and on October 25, 1935, the first unit was already put under load. In 1936, 1.8 million kWh of electricity was generated. Today, this electricity production is equal to the daily operation of the station. CHPP-1 first generated thermal energy in 1961. Since 2017, the station has been running on natural gas.

In total, from the moment of launch to the present day, CHPP-1 named after. B. Orazbayeva generated 39,135 million kW*hours of electrical energy and 157.5 million Gcal of thermal energy.

AlES Women’s Club: the path to new ideas and inspiration

At the end of September, the fifth meeting of the women’s club of AlES JSC was held on the topic “The image of a business person: as a first impression”

This day, according to the participants, was truly inspiring; the atmosphere of the meeting was filled with discussion of the ideal image of a woman.

– We prepared for the performance for more than ten days. Having deeply studied the topic “Image of a business person,” we carefully thought through each slide. Our presentation was structured with generally accepted storytelling principles, including its own opening, main plot, and climax. We also presented a short meditation accompanied by an audio recording of the famous Kazakh psychologist Leila Li. During the preparation process, our team realized that to create good presentations it is not necessary to be an artist or know Photoshop, the main thing is a clear presentation and the ability to attract an audience,” noted Akpeyil Myrzagalikyzy, head of the logistics department of the Kapshagai hydroelectric station named after. Sh. Chokina.

The meeting participants were especially pleased with the appearance of the Kapshagai HPP team, who perfectly approached the topic of choosing makeup and clothing style.

– The choice of business clothes and makeup was extremely successful and fully corresponded to the theme of the event. The presentation of the topic was easy to understand and original. The addition of live models demonstrating several images could make this day truly memorable,” shared Gulmira Aldashukurova, head of the chemical workshop of CHPP-2 named after. A. Zhakutova. – The chosen topic turned out to be so relevant that it reminded us how important it is to pay attention to our appearance in everyday life. We can decorate the world not only with our actions, but also with our style.

The participants of the event especially remembered the humorous video prepared by the employees of the Kapshagai hydroelectric power station named after. Sh. Chokina entitled “One day without women”.

She provided detailed information about the work of the Samruk Qyzmet website, which posts all AlES vacancies and contains information about internal competitions. It was emphasized that all interested workers with appropriate qualifications can participate in the competitions.

– Using accessible, illustrative examples, we were explained the role and participation of each employee in the adaptation process. A newly hired employee undergoes this process of becoming familiar with the content and conditions of work, as well as adapting to the social environment of the company. And how each employee can take part in the adaptation process of a new employee,” added Arai Aidabolova, head of the personnel training department.

To reinforce the material, communication games were held. They clearly showed the features of communications and typical errors in transmitting information.

Particular attention was paid to the corporate project “AlES vibe”. This project embodies the company’s corporate spirit, which is an important part of its culture.

Ainura Zhumataeva, leading accountant of ZTK, has been working at AlES JSC for 13 years, expressed her gratitude to the company for its active corporate life.

– We participate in various events, organizing flash mobs and competitions, which creates a positive atmosphere and helps us be on trend. Particular attention is paid to the Women’s Club. This allows us to share our experiences, secrets and discuss current issues. Comparing with other companies, we see that our company is really ahead,” Ainura continued.

This Women’s Club meeting not only discussed important aspects of image and appearance, but also encouraged participants to think about their own style and its meaning. The women’s club of AlES JSC is an important forum for the exchange of experience and inspiration among the women of the company.
