In the second season, employees of Thermal Power Plant-2 named after. A. Zhakutova. They brought an interesting event as part of the School Ambassadors project.
The CHPP-2 team showed a chemical show, held educational competitions and creative tasks related to energy.
– We come to Edelweiss every year. Our event helps develop children’s interest in the energy profession and can become the first step in their future career. The main thing for us is to make the event interesting, educational and memorable for children,” shared Ayaulym Moldahan, chemical water treatment operator at the power plant, 3rd category, chemical workshop of CHPP-2.
The children were shown chemical experiments. They were really very fun and exciting for the kids.
Dana Kulpeis, process engineer at CHPP-2, came to the camp for the first time. She really liked the atmosphere of Edelweiss.
– We showed the guys part of our work, how we determine water tests, how using liquid nitrogen you can make a beautiful liquid fog, as well as other interesting chemical experiments. We asked questions about chemistry. The guys are very smart, they answered all the tasks. They showed how bright and exciting chemistry can be,” Dana continued. Chemical water treatment operator of the power plant, 3rd category Zulfiya Beisebay said that the team of CHPP-2 had a difficult task: to show what an important, responsible and exciting job the parents of the children have.
– I think we succeeded. The guys’ reaction was priceless. For the sake of such moments, I want to spend even more time with them. Our chemistry show at camp was a real success! We visited the world of chemistry. I believe that we have inspired many children to study science and search for new knowledge. Perhaps we even sowed the seeds of interest in chemistry among future scientists, engineers and creative people,” noted Zulfiya.
The employees of CHPP-2 hope that the guys will remember this day with pleasure. Perhaps some of them will find themselves in chemistry and will study in this field or apply the knowledge acquired in their future profession.
The visit of the CHPP-2 team to the Edelweiss camp left a pleasant impression on the guys and had a positive impact on their path to discovering the profession of power engineering and exploring the world of science.
