The opportunity to learn about vacancies and the employer first-hand
Representatives of AlES participated in the Job Fair, which took place at AUPET named after. Gumarbek Daukeev at the end of April 2023
– The event was organized at a high level. The fair was attended by students from the best universities in the city – AUPET, KazNU, KBTU and others. Many students came with prepared resumes and asked many questions about production and development opportunities,” shared Zhadyra Soltanova, head of the HR department of A. Zhakutov CHPP-2, company representative at the fair. “There were a lot of people who wanted to know about our company. At the fair I was once again convinced that our company keeps up with the times.
This year, not only employees of human resources departments were invited to the Job Fair, but also two young specialists, AUES graduates of 2021. The guys in overalls and helmets stood out from the general background.
– I graduated from the university two years ago, I work in the turbine shop of CHPP-1 named after. B.Orazbayev,” continued Elaman Tanirberdi, a mechanic for servicing power plant equipment in the turbine shop. “We explained to the graduates and showed by our example that work in production is very interesting and exciting. They said that we have a youth organization that actively holds many interesting events.
Arailym Kuralbek, an electrician at the main control room of power plants in the electrical shop, spoke about the special attitude towards women in the company. She shared her impressions of the work.
– It’s very interesting to work in production. And when the graduates learned all this and saw us in our beautiful uniform, they themselves expressed interest and began to fill out forms en masse,” noted Arailym Kuralbek, a representative of AlES and a 2021 AUPET graduate.
Participation in the job fair gave HR workers the opportunity to conduct mini-interviews and identify future job applicants at the initial stage.
“I was pleased with the keen interest on the part of the students in our field of activity. It was noticeable that young people really wanted to apply their knowledge in their work. We have collected a good harvest in the form of profiles of applicants, whom we will invite for an interview directly at the station. I believe that we were not mistaken in taking our young workers with us. The students had the opportunity to communicate with the workshop workers themselves, to make sure that they really have the opportunity to work at large stations and confirm their qualifications. A young station employee, by his example, is the best “living informant and motivator” for applicants,” said Ainur Temirbaeva, head of the HR department of CHPP-1 named after. B.Ozbaeva.
The format of the fair was very lively and bright. Master classes from different employers were held in a relaxed atmosphere. Young, beginning professionals had a unique opportunity to talk directly with employers, learn about available vacancies, and discuss working conditions. Students enthusiastically filled out application forms for future employment.
Educational experience for schoolchildren
April 21, 2023 at the Kapshagay hydroelectric power station named after Sh.Chokin conducted an excursion for students of the 5th grade of secondary School No.5 named after A.Zhubanov.
– As part of the educational plan, on April 18, a class hour was held dedicated to the monuments and historical sites of our city. For a detailed study and delving into the history of the city of Konayev, an excursion to the city-forming enterprise was organized. As a homeroom teacher, I wanted to show the children where the history of our city began. Thanks to the support and permission of the AlES management, we were able to visit the Kapshagai HPP. Children also paid tribute to the memory of the first builders of the station and laid flowers at the memorial on the territory of the hydroelectric power station, “said Makpal Aitbek, class teacher of the 5th “D” class.
The station was visited by 18 students. Before starting the tour, the children were told how to observe safety procedures at the station. The students were accompanied by Botagoz Salmakeyeva, chief specialist for technical operation and industrial safety, and Kanat Cheryazdanov, master for operation and repair of hydraulic structures.
– We told the children about the history of the station, the structure of hydroelectric power plants, showed buildings, hydraulic structures and the water area of the station. It was obvious that the guys were interested, they asked a lot of questions. I think the children were satisfied and received a lot of informative information – Kanat Cheryazdanov continued.
Sevara Rakhimzhanova saw the operation of the hydroelectric power station for the first time.
– They explained to us how aggregators work, how energy appears, where water flows from. There are many workshops at the station, but we only went to the safest one. There was a crane that lifted loads for the aggregator. The hydroelectric power station has a brain, there is even a button to turn off the entire station. You will ask: “What is it for? After all, the station can not be turned off even for a second, it works 24/7.” This button is needed in case of an accident. It’s never been used in all these years! We also got acquainted with the board of honor, where we were told about the first builders and veterans of the station. We laid flowers at the memorial, which is located on the territory of the station, “Sevara, a student of the 5th “D” class, shared her impressions.
The excursion at the station became a fascinating and informative experience for schoolchildren.
Security culture is part of the corporate culture
22 safety and labor protection inspectors of AlES JSC were trained on the topic “Formation of a safety culture”
2022 has been declared the “Year of Occupational Safety and Health” for the Samruk-Kazyna Group of Companies. The company’s action plans for 2022-2024 provide for training of employees of the occupational safety and Health service, senior and middle managers in the safety culture. Building a safety culture is a daily task for every employee of the Foundation.
In the autumn of 2022, 22 inspectors on occupational safety and health were trained in JSC AlES on the topic “Formation of a safety culture”. For better assimilation of the material, two groups are organized.
– The training seminar was rich and dynamic. The teacher, a high-level specialist of Successful Development Company LLP, was able to present the material organically. We have discovered new aspects of the safety culture, ways of applying it in production and in life, said Aisulu Irzhanova, Chief Specialist of the Industrial Safety and Labor Protection Department of AlES JSC.
AlES JSC gives priority to the focus on labor safety. A high safety culture and risk-based thinking of the company’s employees will result in zero occupational injuries.
Industrial safety – starts with training!
Manufacturing companies with efficient and well-trained employees are successful. The priority for JSC “AlES” is labor safety. One of the main directions in the field of occupational health and safety in the company is the training of industrial safety specialists in occupational health and safety of JSC “AlES”. At the end of spring 2022, 33 employees were trained.
The classes were conducted by an experienced teacher Tatyana Solodilova. Previously, she worked as a senior inspector for the technical operation of the power plant at CHPP-3. Tatyana Andreyevna’s total work experience in the energy sector is 40 years.
“Key attention is paid to training industrial safety of facilities with dangerous working conditions,” said Tatyana Solodilova. – Training is aimed at improving the skills of employees in order to safely perform work. The knowledge and skills acquired by employees help to minimize the consequences of emergency situations that may occur at work.
Employees who have been trained, as practice shows, work more efficiently and feel their value and respect in the workplace.
– Our training is organized at a high level, and I would like to thank Sabikenova Zhanar, Head of the Personnel Training Department of AlES JSC, for organizing it. The classes were very informative, and we learned a lot of new and useful things. During the training, visual aids on lifting mechanisms are used and handouts are provided – said Laila Orazbayeva, Inspector for OT and TB at CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev.
Training of employees at AlES JSC not only contributes to ensuring the safety of work performed and guarantees compliance with legal requirements, but also has a positive impact on the results of production activities.
Ales: successful social partnership
58 college students visited CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev in Almaty
AlES JSC continues to cooperate on an ongoing basis with Almaty colleges studying in energy specialties. As part of the social partnership, students of the Almaty State College of Energy and Electronic Technologies and the college attached to the Gumarbek Daukeev Almaty University of Energy and Electronic Technologies were given a guided tour at CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev.
In May 2022, 4 excursions were conducted for 1,2,3 year college students majoring in heat engineering.
“I would like to visit the station, personally see the turbines, boilers and get acquainted with its operation,” said Matvey Moroz, a 4th – year student of the college at the Almaty University of Energy and Electronic Technologies named after G.Daukeyev. “I was surprised by what I saw. The boiler and turbine shops made a strong impression. I can say that this tour inspired me to gain new knowledge.
Matvey’s classmate Alikhan Sultanakhmet is studying on a college grant.
– We were not very lucky, because we studied online because of covid. Therefore, it is very interesting for me to look at the power plant equipment,” Alikhan continued. – Everything was very interesting to me. I was most impressed by the boiler, its size, and the scale of production. I imagined that he was so big, but I did not expect to see such a size of him.
Andrey Kadyrov, Deputy director of the College for Educational Work, noted that production is one and the same thing, but seeing with your own eyes is completely different. For students, visiting the station and observing how it works is a unique opportunity. The college management expresses its deep gratitude to AlES for motivating the younger generation to get a high-quality education that combines theory and practice.
– It is gratifying that colleges have begun to pay great attention to the practical introduction of their students to production. Such interaction with regard to conducting excursions and production experiments for students of the profile college will reduce the gap between the employer’s requests and the training of graduate students, “Zhanar Sabikenova, head of the Employee Training Department of AlES JSC, continued in her turn. – Considering that our company is the only major enterprise in the field of heat energy production, we have a great responsibility in this part of cooperation.
JSC “AlES” actively participates in improving the quality of training of young specialists in several areas: industrial practice of students, their internship, holding round tables, etc.
Social partnership with an employer is the key to successful development of colleges and employment of graduates.
