Cognitive award

In May this year employees of JSC AlES and at the same time – students of Energo University of the “Thermal Energy” Department within the framework of cooperation with the company “Supros Engineering and Supply” participated in the competition for the preparation of the best scientific article on the importance of insulation in reducing emissions and environmental protection.

Being among the best authors, they received as a reward a trip to the plant for the production of thermal insulation materials. And in September, a group of AlES JSC employees, participants of the contest, visited the plant of Saint-Gobain, an international industrial company, in Chelyabinsk.

– We visited the production of heat and noise insulation in one of the branches of the international industrial company Saint-Gobain, – said Alisher Teltai, Engineer category 2 of the Repair Service of the CHPP-1 n.a. B.Orazbayev. – The first thing that attracted my attention was the high degree of interaction between the company and its clients. Special attention is paid to feedback: the company actively works with feedback, especially negative feedback, goes to key customers and thoroughly analyses its products in comparative tests with competitors.

But the Almaty engineer was particularly interested in the presence of a museum… of broken components, where various parts that failed are presented, with the date, time and reasons for downtime. Also Alisher Teltai paid attention to the system of motivation of employees, which impressed him.

– There are production competitions between shifts, and the winners are recognized,” he continues. – Moreover, the company organizes an annual open day, when the families of employees can get acquainted with the production and feel the atmosphere of corporate unity. The Company’s focus on sustainable development is also worth noting. Much attention is paid to health, safety and environmental issues, which is especially important nowadays. In general, the plant left a positive impression due to the pursuit of excellence, attention to employees and customers, as well as sustainable development. Muhamed Quan, a boiler operator from the boiler shop of WHC, learnt a lot of useful and informative things from the trip.

– We observed the production process of heat and sound insulation materials directly at the production site, – Mukhamed Kuan says – We were able to see effective technologies aimed at improving their quality. We were particularly impressed by the attention to the important principles of cleanliness and labour safety in the workplace. It is noteworthy that the company uses new approaches instead of outdated technologies. This allows the Company to improve the quality of its work every year. The Company also actively receives feedback from customers, takes into account their assessments and works to eliminate deficiencies.

Gaukhar Temirova, a specialist of the Personnel Training Department, participated in the popular science article competition on the importance of insulation in reducing emissions and protecting the environment. And also being among the winners, she took part in a trip to the production of Saint-Gobain’s Supros plant.

– We had an opportunity to see the production processes and participate in testing of insulation materials, – says Gaukhar Temirova. – During the trip, we gained valuable knowledge about innovations and environmental standards in production. This will be the basis for our future research and professional development. This experience will certainly serve as an incentive for successful projects in the future.

Sholpan Amanchiyeva, PR manager of Supros Engineering and Supply Supros, in turn, notes:

– We are developing together. For Supros, sustainable development is the path we follow every day. Our commitment to leadership in thermal insulation and energy efficiency is supported by the implementation of innovative solutions that contribute to the preservation of the planet for future generations. Supporting the young professionals who will drive tomorrow’s progress is therefore part of our responsibility to society and the planet. We are proud to help them on their way to a successful career, just as we are proud to continue to improve our own processes through the exchange of experience and knowledge.
