For more than five years, AlES has been implementing measures to promote equal opportunities. One of the important tools for promoting equal opportunities is corporate communications. In the projects AlES News, AlES in Persons, Book of Honor, attention is focused on the company’s commitment to providing equal opportunities, on the representation of the percentage of women in all posted materials.

Every year the company implements the School Ambassadors Program project, which was first launched in 2019. Meetings and excursions at the company’s production sites are organized especially for schoolchildren, including grades 4, 7 and 8 of different ages. The program is also conducted in the summer at our children’s camp “Edelweiss”.

The strategic Round Tables program continues, the goal of which is to attract women to the energy sector. Annually holds meetings with teachers and students of AUPET and AGKEiET. Company representatives talk about production and opportunities for women in the energy sector.

AlES has always paid great attention to the work of the personnel reserve and personnel training, but given the specifics of the company, difficult and harmful working conditions, the majority of employees are men – 80%. After the implementation of the project, the indicator “Increasing the representation of women in the personnel reserve and attracting women to the energy sector” appeared in AlES. In 2019, the share of women in the personnel reserve was 20%, in 2023 – 26%.

One of the priority areas for promoting equal opportunities is to increase the representation of women in management: in 2023. on the Board of Directors – 28.6%, on the Management Board of the company – 12.5%.

In 2022-2023 female leaders of AlES take part in the four-module project “Gender Equality”. The program was developed within the framework of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to gradually increase the share of women in the management bodies of companies with state participation. The organizer of the program was Samruk Business Academy.

Since August 2022, the company’s Women’s Club has been operating at AlES JSC. One of its main goals is to unite the company’s employees to strengthen the role of women and expand opportunities for women in production.

AlES does not stop there and continues to work to promote equal opportunities.
