We are one team! AlES participates in the 10th Samruk-Energy Sports Games

The 10th anniversary Samruk-Energy Sports Games were held in June of 2025. These days turned into a real celebration of sport, energy and team spirit. More than 600 athletes and sportsmen from subsidiary organizations gathered together to prove that strength lies not only in muscles, and also in unity, support, and the ability to go all the way.

The AlES team once again confirmed its spirit, winning second place in the overall team competition! This is more than just a result – it is a reflection of our energy, our inner strength, and the strength of our team.

“This is more than just a competition. It is a story about people who, in their everyday lives, start turbines, control boiler parameters, and monitor the safety and cleanliness of production – and here they take to the field, line up at the starting line, pull a rope, or defend the goal. Everything is real. Everything comes from the heart,” says Sabina Imayeva, chief specialist of the Contract Works Department, who took third place in table tennis.

Our team came in first in eSports, swimming, arm wrestling, asyk atu, and togyz kumalak. We didn’t just win on muscle power – it was all about focus, determination, confidence, and teamwork.

“It was awesome! Winning in e-sports is not just about games, it’s about strategy, trust, and teamwork. That’s exactly what we achieved,” says Yertas Sabyrzhan, chief specialist of the ASKUE Service and member of the e-sports team.

“When I was on the starting line, I had only one thought in my mind: not to let the team down. When I finished the race in first place, I realized that AlES can win on the water too,” smiles Oksana Kostareva, chief accountant of the Accounting Department at CHPP-3, winner of the women’s swimming competition.

“I’ve been arm wrestling for a long time, but stepping into the ring under the flag of my home company was particularly exciting. This gold medal is not only mine, it belongs to the entire AlES team,” says Mukhamed Kuan, boiler operator at the ZTC boiler shop.

The basketball and mini-football teams brought us the silver. These competitions were full of everything: intense matches, strong-willed bursts, beautiful goals and shots, and real masculine emotions.

“We played together like a well-oiled machine. Yes, we didn’t succeed in everything, but we knew we did our best. And we did it beautifully,” says Vladimir Kim, head of the Methodology Department and member of the basketball team.

“Playing football at the Sports Games is all about emotions. It’s excitement. It’s a battle. We came second, and that motivates us to come first next year,” says Ersin Atamkul, a pump operator at the CHPP №1 named after B.Orazbayev Turbine Shop and member of the football team.

Silver medals were also won in togyz kumalak, swimming and archery. Each victory is someone’s personal story of overcoming challenges, training and personal growth.

Men’s volleyball, arkan tartu, arm wrestling, table tennis, swimming, archery – these are the disciplines in which we competed until the very end, not losing a single match.

“It was my first time coming to Borovoye. It was my first time participating in the Sports Games. And I won the bronze medal right away! We pulled the rope as if the fate of the whole team depended on it. Unforgettable!” – shares his emotions Miras Madikasymov, an electrician repairing relay protection and automation equipment at the Electrical Engineering Workshop of ZTC, a member of the arkan tartu team.

“Our volleyball team was put together from different production departments. Some work at CHPP-2, others at PRP Eneroremont. But once we were on the court, we all became one. And that’s what really matters,” says Aidos Seleubayev, an electric welder at PRP Eneroremont.

“I represented AlES in arm wrestling. I could feel the team cheering me on. And that gave me incredible strength!” says Olga Bayanova, a laboratory assistant at the Chemical Analysis Department of the ZTC.

Borovoye brought us together, inspired us, energized us.

There were no losers in these competitions. Everyone who took part, who didn’t give up, who supported their colleagues, who believed in themselves and their team, was a winner.

“The Sports Games are about us. It’s about those who work hard every day but still find the strength to be athletes. Thank you to the organizers and the entire AlES team – you are the best!” says Fariza Botakarayeva, Lead Software Engineer at the PRP Eneroremont Repair Service, who took second place in archery.

“AlES is a family. We felt this particularly strongly in Borovoye. We cheered each other on, supported each other and rejoiced at every point. It was truly unforgettable,” says Baurzhan Bekturov, Chief Specialist at the Thermal Automation and Measurement Workshop of the CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev and captain of the arqan tartu team.

AlES is not just about energy. It’s about spirit. It’s about strength. It’s about victory.

We’d like to congratulate all the participants, coaches and fans. You make us proud! May this Sports Games become a new milestone in friendship, sport and corporate culture. Because we are one team. We are AlES.
