Warm colours of Nauryz: CHPP-1 after B.Orazbayev hosted a festival of culture and unity

A special atmosphere prevailed at CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev on the eve of the spring holiday of Nauryz – a decade of “Nauryznama” was held here, which resulted in a spectacular national costume contest “Ұlttyk kiim kuni”. The event, filled with the warmth of tradition and modern creativity, brought together station employees to celebrate the revival of nature and the richness of Kazakh culture.

A stunning fashion show inspired by history took place at the station. 14 contestants, employees of B.Orazbayev CHPP-1 and PRP Energoremont, presented a real palette of national style to the audience. Women’s outfits impressed with sophistication: dresses with fine embroidery, elegant camisoles and traditional accessories emphasised grace and depth of heritage. Men’s costumes symbolised strength and dignity. Each look was a bridge between past and present, demonstrating how centuries-old traditions come to life in modern interpretations.

– National garments are our living history. Today we are not just showing outfits, but sharing a piece of our national spirit, said Lyazzat Soltankulova, an accountant from the Accounting Department.

The jury, which included the director of the station, Zhanabek Adilkhanov, admitted that it was incredibly difficult to decide on the winners.

– Each outfit is unique! You can see how anxiously the participants approached the creation of images. This is not just a competition – it is a celebration of unity and pride in our culture, he said.

The festival was not only about a fashion show. Employees of the enterprise excitedly joined in national games and fiery national dance “Kara zhorga”, which united even those who came on the improvised stage for the first time. And at the moment when the dombra music sounded, the hall has frozen. The machinist of the central thermal control panel of boilers of boiler shop Ardak Kalibek performed the kyu “Yerke sylkym”, reminding that the dombra is not just an instrument, but the voice of ancestors, echoing through the centuries.

– Nauryz is a season when nature and people’s hearts are being renewed. And it is so important that melodies that have inspired our nation for centuries sound along with them, Ardak said after the performance.

The performance of the song was no less touching, performed by the engineer of the TVET centre Zhanerke Panarkhankyzy. Her voice, like a spring breeze, filled the hall with warmth and hope.

Nauryz at CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev became not just an ordinary welcoming of spring, but a true generational dialogue. Joy, creativity and deep respect for the heritage were intertwined here. The event reminded: by preserving traditions, we preserve ourselves. And as the participants noted, such events make the collective not just a team, but a big family, where everyone feels a part of something eternal and beautiful.

As long as the dombra and laughter sound, as long as national patterns decorate our lives – the culture of Kazakhstan will live and inspire.
