To inspire by example
With the flag of AlES JSC crossed the finish line of the race with obstacles “Race Nation Shymbulak” Aydos Massiraliyev, machinist of the Central Thermal Control Board of steam turbines of CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev.
It has become a tradition for Aidos to dedicate his achievements to his company. Only recently he took part in the “Alpiniada – an ascent to Almaty (Komsomol) Peak and hoisted the flag of AlES JSC on its summit. Then, commenting on his decision to take the flag of AlES, he said that “it was important for him to show that there is such a company, which has been working for many decades for the benefit of people, so that there would be light and heat in every house”.
This time, entering the race distance, he took on a new challenge for him. This competition was organised by Extreme Athletics NGO and Chimbulak Development LLP. The proposed distance was 2 kilometres with obstacles. For the “Elite” category, in which Aidos participated, up to 17 obstacles were envisaged. They consisted of a series of various artificial barriers: wooden and metal structures. An unlimited number of attempts were given for their passage. There were no age categories.
– I had been preparing for the race for almost three weeks after the “Alpiniada”, says Aidos. – The steep ascent was the most difficult for me on this distance. But the rest was easy. My time at the finish was 22 min 03 sec. This is 69th place out of 200 participants. Not the best performance on the course, but it was my first race. For the first time, I think it’s a very good result. I still need to prepare, to work on myself in this direction. I think, on August, 10th to act in the main race in Oikaragai on distance of 5 km and to achieve the best indicators.
However, the organizers of “Race Nation Shymbulak” count on such purposeful participants as Aydos, and set among their main tasks the development and promotion of mass sports, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles and improving the sports skills of participants. There are also larger-scale tasks – the development of obstacle races in Kazakhstan, as well as the development of domestic and foreign tourism. The legendary race “Race Nation Shymbulak” as well as “Race Nation Kazakhstan 2024” are part of a series of races to receive the badge and title of “OCR Kazakhstan”. And this may become one of the goals of the power engineer Aydos Massiraliyev.
– I didn’t take an honourable place on my first distance “Race Nation Shymbulak”, but I decided for myself that I will continue to train, – continues the sportsman-energetic. – But the more important goal for me is not always the prize-winning place: I do it to attract our youth to sport and healthy lifestyle. Young people should be active and sporty. Especially the young employees of our company. I really hope that my personal example will also enthuse my colleagues.
