The warm traditions of Nauryz at CHPP-3: spring, unity and joy in a communal home
Spring sunshine, smiles of colleagues, bright colors of national costumes and the aroma of fresh-baked baursaks – this is how Nauryz is greeted at CHPP-3. A good tradition has been living here for many years: on the first day of the spring holiday, the plant’s employees turn their workdays into a bright carnival of unity and warmth.

Girls and young men in embroidered camisoles and dresses to the sound of the dombra and folk melodies go round the workshops, giving everyone a part of the holiday. They are greeted with applause, jokes and mutual wishes of prosperity. A special ritual is shashu: sweets scattered with good wishes symbolise generosity and hope for an abundant year. And gold-colored baursaks invariably appear on the tables, which, as the participants assure, “unite with the taste of childhood and home cosines”.

Those who are fasting are not forgotten here either. Colleagues who keep oraza are given special bags with dates and bottled water – a gesture of care that emphasizes that CHPP-3 is not just a job, but a big family where traditions are valued and everyone’s choice is respected.
“We wanted to lift the spirits of our colleagues, and it worked! Seeing their shining eyes is the biggest reward”, says Maria Nikolenko, the station’s chief accountant. Her words are supported by Bakytzhan Toibagarova, engineer of the chemical shop: “Nauryz is a holiday of renewal, when the boundaries between people are erased. Our station is a common home, and today joy and harmony have come to it together with spring”.

In the hustle and bustle of production tasks such moments become a breath of fresh air. The tradition of congratulating each other, sharing treats and music not only preserves culture, but also reminds us that it is people, their hearts and mutual understanding that turn working walls into a place where we want to create, develop and celebrate life.
May the warm wind of Nauryz bring even more harmony to every corner of CHPP-3, and may the spring sun illuminate the new achievements of this friendly team!
