The team of Samruk-energy JSC won 2nd place at the VIII Spartakiad dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Samruk-Kazyna JSC

The VIII Spartakiad among employees of the Samruk-Kazyna JSC group of companies, organized in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Fund, ended in Astana. The team of athletes from the electric power holding JSC Samruk-Energy took second place at the tournament, winning 6 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals. The energy athletes were second only to the team of NC KazMunayGas JSC, which won the main prize of the Spartakiad – the Super Cup. The third place of the winners is the team of NAC Kazatomprom JSC.

Representatives of 16 companies of the Foundation took part in large-scale competitions in 11 sports. The sporting event of the largest employer in Kazakhstan with more than 250,000 employees, promoting a healthy lifestyle, was a real holiday for 845 employees and their families.

In the Samruk-Energy JSC team, 1st place in their sports was taken by:

–  Ruslan Rakhmetov,  chess (Ekibastuz State District Power Plant-2)
–  Ulyana Kaplich,  swimming (Ekibastuz State District Power Plant-1)
–  Indira Baizhanova,  arm wrestling, over 65 kg. (AZhK)
–  Kristina Grinchenko,  arm wrestling, up to 65 kg. (Ekibastuz GRES-2)
–  Asyk atu team  (formed from athletes from Bogatyr Komir and AZhK)
–  Arkan tartu team  (formed from athletes from AZhK)

2nd place:

– Kamila Erdyakova, table tennis (Bogatyr Komir)
– Cyber-Sports team (formed from AlES athletes)

3rd place:

– Maginur Latypova, togyz kumalak (Bogatyr Komir).

“Three days of the spectacular anniversary sports competition have ended. We began to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Samruk-Kazyna Foundation with the whole team, showing excellent corporate spirit and unity. About 1,000 employees from all regions of Kazakhstan demonstrated their commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Our colleagues showed not only a competitive spirit, but also a large share of mutual respect, as a result of which friendship won. Let’s achieve our goals together, friends!”, Gibrat Auganov, Managing Director for Corporate Governance, Social and Labor Relations and Labor Safety of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, congratulated his colleagues.

The main goal of the Spartakiad is to strengthen the corporate culture and connections within the team, encouraging all participants to unite around a common goal and the desire to win within the framework of the slogan “One team – one goal!” Companies that have established themselves as reliable partners in the oil and gas industry, metallurgy, energy, transport and other industries, in a fair fight, determined the winners in sports.

The winners were awarded both in individual sports: table tennis, chess, togyzkumalak, arm wrestling and swimming, and in group sports: futsal, volleyball, basketball, tug of war, asyk atu and e-sports.
