The energy of the future is in the hands of young people

Young specialists from AlES JSC attended the forum on blue-collar professions in Astana

Astana welcomed young specialists from the energy sector from different parts of Kazakhstan. The city hosted the Youth Forum on Blue-Collar Professions, ‘Blue-Collar Professions: Energy of the Future,’ organised by Samruk-Energy JSC. The Youth Forum of Working Professions ‘Working Professions: Energy of the Future’, organised by Samruk-Energy JSC, was held here. More than 100 participants gathered at the venue – representatives of working professions from the holding’s subsidiaries.

Almaty Electric Stations JSC was well represented by a team of young specialists working in the company’s production departments. The forum became a real career development school for them.

The aim of the forum was to raise the prestige of working professions, attract young people’s interest in technical specialties, and develop teamwork. The programme included a variety of intellectual and practical activities, from quizzes and panel discussions to engineering team building.

Of particular interest was the motivational session ‘Person. Team. Result,’ which discussed the role of each specialist and the importance of team identity. A highlight was the engineering challenge ‘Goldberg Machine’ – participants designed and assembled unique structures that triggered chain reactions. This task proved that a working profession requires not only skill and responsibility, but also creativity, technical thinking and the ability to work as part of a team.

“For me, the forum was an excellent opportunity to learn how colleagues in other regions work and what innovations are being applied at enterprises. It is very inspiring to see that young people are entrusted with serious tasks,” shared Dilnaz Kobegen, an electrician at the Sh. Chokin Kapshagay Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Akzhol Tursyn, an electrician at the Western Thermal Complex, is proud to have represented Almaty Electric Stations JSC: “Such forums provide not only knowledge, but also new connections that will help in further development.”

“For me, participating in the forum is an opportunity to exchange experiences and look at my profession from a new angle. It is especially valuable to meet colleagues who inspire further professional growth,” said Aksunkar Bakhtibay, an electrician at the CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov.

Electrical fitter at CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev Nazerke Akhmetova noted that the atmosphere of the Forum was friendly and inspiring, with everyone actively sharing ideas and experiences: “I especially liked that we talked not only about the importance of blue-collar professions, but also about their role in the development of technology. Quizzes and team building made the program even more interesting, helped me make new friends and feel the team spirit. I left the forum in a great mood and with lots of ideas for work.”

The forum in Astana showed that today’s blue-collar professions are not only about work and responsibility, but also about the energy of creation, innovation and a creative approach.

AlES JSC is confident that the participation of young professionals in such events strengthens corporate culture, motivates development and forms a talent pool that will become the foundation of the energy sector of the future.
