Team spirit and trade union traditions

At the end of September 2025, employees of AlES JSC and AZHK JSC gathered at the Arman Dala children’s health camp to celebrate International Workers’ Day and the upcoming 120th anniversary of the trade union movement in Kazakhstan. The festive team-building event was a vivid example of how people from the same profession, the same industry, and the same team can be united.

The event was attended by 95 AlES employees and 100 representatives of AZHK – colleagues who are united not only by energy, but also by common values: respect for work, team spirit, mutual support and a desire for development.

The program included sports and intellectual team tasks, interactive games and creative competitions aimed at developing communication, mutual understanding and trust between colleagues. This was the second year in a row that employees chose an outdoor recreation format, and not by chance. The air, space, and pure energy of the mountains and forests create a special atmosphere of freedom and peace.

The day was filled with laughter, excitement, and vivid emotions. Team games and tasks helped everyone to open up, show leadership, learn to work together, and support each other.

“The team building went great! The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, and the tasks helped us get to know our colleagues better and learn to work as a team. Thank you to the organizers for the positive and interesting experience,” said Rashid Darmenov, a machine operator at CHPP-2.

Tamerlan Akhmetzhan, deputy head of the power equipment repair shop at CHPP-2 PRP Eneroremont, continued: “The team building in the mountains was great! The nature was impressive, the air was different, and you could immediately feel the freedom and lightness. There were many fun games where we learned to support each other. I especially liked that everyone became closer and communicated without formalities.”

On 10 October, Kazakhstan will celebrate Trade Union Day, which marks its 120th anniversary this year. For energy workers, this is not just a date – it is a symbol of continuity, protection of workers’ rights, preservation of corporate traditions and promotion of safe working practices.

“A healthy, active lifestyle should become a model for our team,’ says Aisulu Irzhanova, chief specialist of the Industrial Safety and Labor Protection Department at AlES. “I would like to thank the organizers for the great atmosphere and lots of positive emotions!

The holiday was not just a trip to the countryside – it was a day filled with meaning: strengthening team spirit, promoting the ideas of a healthy lifestyle, safe labor and the trade union movement.

Such meetings help remind everyone that the strength of a team lies in unity. May all participants retain the warmest memories, new ideas, inspiration and pride in their friendly energy family.
