Spring sports festival of unity and traditions: Nauryznama in AlES JSC

As a part of celebration of Nauryz, a symbol of renewal and unity, AlES JSC conducted vivid sports competitions that filled the hearts of employees with warmth and joy. Production departments of the company plunged into the atmosphere of friendly competition and national spirit, where traditional games and treats became a bridge between the past and the present.

“We were literally transported to the era of ancient customs. We were served delicious treats! Baursaks, shelpeks, aromatic pilaf and Nauryz kozhe – a real feast for the soul and stomach”, says Oleg Pekuschev, foreman of the shut-off valve repair section at Energoremont. His team took part in the arkan tartu against the CPVT department with excitement and received a charge of vigour and positive emotions. Today Oleg is not only an exceptional worker, a master, a professional in his field, but also a prize-
winner of the World Championship, champion of Asia in bench press. Now he coaches his colleagues.

Competitions on arkan tartu became a test not only for muscles, but also for a team spirit. Senior Foreman Abuseit Bakirov, whose department competed against past years’ winners, said, “We witnessed an exciting and entertaining game among the employees of CPWT and Energoremont, divided into two groups. The opponents were strong, but we did not lose our courage. Having lost today, we will train harder tomorrow! We had fun watching traditional games such as asyk atu and archery.

The game of asyk atu evoked nostalgia in the participants. Arman Isayev, Head of the Capital Construction Department at CHPP-2, recalled his childhood years with delight and confessed: “Now I play with my colleagues and it feels like I’m a boy again. Excitement, laughter, competitive spirit – it really unites people!

A battle of intellect in togyzkumalak brought together strategy buffs. “To sit in a yurt, picking over pebbles it feels like you’ve been transported back to centuries ago. It’s not just a game, but a heritage that teaches you to use thinking skills”, said Aitkul Aibol, a maintenance engineer at CHPP-2, as he immersed himself in the atmosphere of antiquity.

The kol kuresi, where girls and boys showed their dexterity, was not left without attention. Leading specialist of the Training and Personnel Department Gaukhar Temirova, who won third place last year, proudly noted: “Today I’ve wrestled even with the guys! I am sure that this year I will go one step higher”.

The favourite game of Baurzhan Bekturov, the chief specialist of the Thermal Automation and Measurement Shop of CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev is sadaq atu. He not only played and explained to beginners the rules of the game, he showed how to hold a bow and arrow correctly.

The event became not just a competition, but live dialogue of generations. Participation in games, heartfelt conversations over a generous dastarkhan, music and dancing – all this strengthened the bonds between employees. “We thank the organizers for the opportunity to feel like part of a big family, where traditions are valued and support each other”, the participants unanimously said.

Nauriznama in AlES JSC proved once again: by preserving cultural roots, it is possible to create a future filled with mutual respect and the joy of joint victories.
