Pride of AlES: Ruslan and Nazerke – winners of the competition
Almaty Electric Stations JSC is proud of its employees, who not only diligently work for the benefit of the company and make a significant contribution to the development of the power industry, but also prove themselves in various aspects of public life. The recent reality show ‘OneDayLife’, organized with the support of the Almaty City Youth Policy Department and the Bizbenbirge Foundation, was a striking example of how the energy, talent and ingenuity of our employees help them achieve victories and inspire pride in their colleagues.
Our employees showed brilliant results: Ruslan Nurgaliyev, an electrician repairing electrical equipment at the Cascade HPP, won the Grand Prix, and Nazerke Akhmetova, an electrician repairing and maintaining automation and measuring equipment at the CHPP-1 named after B. Orazbayev, won first place. These achievements confirmed that the company employs not only professionals in their field, but also versatile, talented individuals.
The show was filmed in Almaty, at Open Cinema. The participants – up to ten people – went through six stages of tests covering different areas of life. The organizers aimed to introduce viewers to working professions, spark young people’s interest in skilled trades, and reveal the ingenuity, creativity and strength of young people.
The show’s agenda was packed: manufacturing furniture, cooking competitions, fitness challenges, creative drawing tasks, trampoline jumping, bull riding, and even building vehicles. Each challenge revealed a new side to the participants, showcasing their strength, logic, creative potential, and perseverance.
The show turned out to be very exciting and diverse. We tried our hand at carpentry, cooking and drawing. This format allows you to reveal yourself in different areas and show not only your strength but also your creative potential. The drawing task was the most special for me – it’s what got me first place. It’s inspiring and confirms that creativity is valued on a par with other talents, Nazerke shared her impressions.
“The most enjoyable moment for me was participating in the culinary task, where I tried my hand at being a chef for the first time. The competitions were very diverse, and that’s what made the project lively and exciting. It allowed everyone to reveal themselves – some showed strength, some showed wit, and some showed creative talent,” Ruslan noted.
The victory of our employees in such a vibrant and multifaceted project proved that AlES employs people who strive for development and know how to achieve success not only in their profession but also beyond it. Their achievements inspire the entire team, become part of our corporate history, and reinforce our confidence that our company employs the most deserving and talented people.
Such victories are a source of pride for all of us. They confirm that together we are capable of great things, and the personal achievements of each employee become another bright page in the history of the company.
