Prevention of destructive ideologies: seminar at CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov
In early November 2025, a preventive seminar organised by the Security Department of AlES JSC was held at CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov. AlES JSC in conjunction with the Academy of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The theme of the event was “Features of the destruction of religious consciousness in the environment of terrorist and extremist organizations.”
The seminar was led by A.V.Kondratenko, PhD in Psychology, professor at the Academy of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and colonel with many years of scientific and practical experience in the field of psychology of extremism and countering the ideological influence of radical groups.

The seminar was attended by deputy directors of production departments, heads of civil defense and emergency services, specialists from human resources departments, as well as representatives of the youth association ‘Zharqyn Bolashak’.
During the meeting, participants discussed the mechanisms used by destructive organizations to shape and destroy religious consciousness, methods of psychological influence and manipulation, and ways to identify early signs of citizens’ involvement in radical movements. The participants paid particular attention to issues of staff awareness, the formation of responsible behavior and the improvement of employees’ legal literacy.
“It was very valuable that the lecturer not only talked about theory, but also gave real examples from practice. You realize how important it is to be attentive to changes in the behavior of colleagues and loved ones”, said Margarita Mezhvskaya, a technician at the Fuel and Transport Department of CHPP-2.
Vladislav Nestorkin, an electronics engineer at the Thermal Automation and Measurement Department of CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov, shared his opinion: “The seminar helped me to understand more deeply how destructive beliefs are formed and how they can be recognized in time. This is knowledge that will be useful to everyone.

Aset Amirbekov, head of the Repair Service at TPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev and representative of the youth association ‘Zharqyn Bolashak,’ particularly remembered the explanations about psychological manipulation techniques: ‘Such meetings are necessary, because prevention begins with awareness.’
Following the event, in accordance with the instructions of the Security Department, those present are required to pass on the information they have received to the employees of their departments.
Holding such preventive meetings is an important part of AlES JSC’s systematic work to strengthen the informational and spiritual security of the team, form a stable perception of destructive ideas and prevent the spread of radical views in society.
