Nauryz that unites generations: CHPP-3 presents spring time to Otegen Batyr settlement

During the spring equinox, when nature is awakening and people are smiling and giving each other a sense of hope, the town-forming enterprise, CHPP-3, became part of a big celebration in Otegen Batyr settlement. The plant’s participation in the district celebrations turned Nauryz into a true symbol of unity, where industrial giants showed that their strength is not only in energy, but also in the warmth of human hearts.

To share the best with their fellow countrymen is a good tradition of CHPP-3. The workers of CHPP-3 started preparing for the holiday long before dawn. “We came to work at 5 a.m. to have enough time to cook 50 litres of nauryz-kozhe, mountains of baursaks, shelpeks, kazy and pilaf in a huge cauldron. There were zhent, kurt, khurst and irimshik on the table – everything that our national dastarkhan is famous for! – Ainur-Kozhayeva, a laboratory assistant of chemical analysis at the station, proudly tells us.

The enterprise’s tents became the centre of attraction. “We fed about 200 people. Each guest left well-fed and wishing good wishes”, adds her colleague Ulbosyn Begzhanova.

The tent was especially warm when the station’s veterans approached it. Vassily Minin, former Deputy Head of the Fuel and Transport Shop, who has devoted almost 40 years to CHPP-3, said: “Every year I wait for this day to meet my colleagues and remember my youth. The station is my life, and Nauryz is a holiday that links the past and the present”.

Nadezhda Nidenthal, who has been the head of the station’s trade union committee for 10 years and a former organizer of the events, shares with a smile: “I used to set these tables myself. Now I come as a guest and my heart is happy that the tradition is alive. CHPP-3 will always remain a second home for me”.

Marina Avramenko, Head of Housekeeping, and personally poured nauryz-kozhe into jars for the veterans: ‘They come with empty containers, but leave with full ones – not only with food, but also with warmth. We hug, laugh, and share energy. This is more precious than any words.

CHPP-3 has proven that their role in the region is not only to provide light and heat, but also to make people happy. Aigerim Bekkazy, a laboratory technician at CHPP-3, emphasized: “Setting dastarkhan for the residents is our good tradition. These days we are not employees of the plant, but a big family that wants to give people a piece of its heart”.

The holiday ended, but its echo remained in the smiles of children, grateful looks of the older generation and shared memories. “Such moments remind us that we are part of one nation, one land. And as long as our enterprises support these traditions, Nauryz will live not only in the calendar, but also in people’s souls”, the organizers concluded.

CHPP-3 once again showed that real energy is not born in turbines, but in the ability to give warmth to those around us. And may the seeds of goodness sown by this Nauryz sprout in the hearts of new generations!
