It should be recalled that JSC “Almaty power plants” (Ales) is an energy – producing organization for the production of electric and thermal energy in Almaty and the adjacent region. The energy sources that are part of the company were built in Soviet times, are morally outdated and need to be modernized and reconstructed for further operation.
According to the chairman of the Board of JSC” ales ” Nurlan Mukhamed-Rakhimov, most of the funds allocated for the implementation of investment obligations are aimed at increasing the volume and maintaining the level of production. As well as the construction of ash dumps, conservation activities and reduction of production costs.
Part of the planned repairs were carried out ahead of schedule, which allowed the company to increase capacity and reduce accidents by 1.5 times from 2010 to 2013.
Currently, according to the chairman of the management board, the cleaning of the channel in the lower section of the Kapshagai hydroelectric power station continues. The subsequent implementation of this work will increase the power generation capacity by 2.5 MW.
The replacement of physically and morally outdated equipment in the hydroelectric power station Cascade leads to an increase in electricity and an increase in energy production.
The construction of water intakes at CHPP-1,2 continues. These measures are necessary to reduce water costs used in boilers. The implementation of the set goals amounted to 72.2 million tenge per year. it entails saving funds for the purchase of water in the amount of tenge.
The modernization of fixed assets to maintain the current level of production also includes the transfer of the roller mill to CHPP-1. The construction of ash dumps at CHPP 2,3 continues.
The company’s management pays special attention to environmental issues. For this purpose, the modernization of combustion devices of boiler units is being carried out at CHPP 2,3. The implementation of these measures will reduce the number of nitrous oxide emissions into the atmosphere to 7.2 thousand tons per year.
Since energy sources belong to the most important state facilities, work is underway to increase their technical strengthening and equipment with security and alarm systems.
According to Nurlan Mukhamed-Rakhimov, the impact of the work carried out today has made it possible to increase electricity generation by 50 thousand kWh. The adverse impact of energy sources on the environment and, in general, the number of technological violations has decreased.
