January

  • The “Give the battery a second life” and “#battlemakulatura” contests were launched

February

  • Contract signed between EPC-contractor and Ansaldo Energia for delivery of gas turbine equipment to CHPP-3
  • Start of meetings of the youth organization “Zharkyn Bolashak” with the Chairman of the Company’s Management Board Yerik Mashirov
  • AlES in an emergency: regular work under emergency situation (earthquake)
  • Deployment of Kaizen system – lean technologies – at the pilot site of CHPP-3

July

  • Contract conclusion between EPC-contractor and ZIO-Podolsk JSC for supply of main equipment (HRSGs) to CHPP-3
  • Positive approval of RSE “Gosexpertiza” on the working project “Construction of retaining wall at CHPP-2 of JSC ‘AlES’ in Almaty” was obtained
  • Students of NAO “AUES named after G. Daukeev” underwent practical training with elements of dual training at TPP-1 named after B. Orazbayev
  • “School Ambassadors” program in the children’s health camp ‘Edelweiss’

August

  • Positive conclusion was obtained from RSE Gosekspertiza on the working project “Construction of pumping stations for storm and domestic sewage at CHPP-2 of AlES JSC in Almaty”
  • Signing of the Memorandum on localization of boiler assembly in Kazakhstan with Podolsk Machine Building Plant JSC and Consortium consisting of KBI Energy Group LLP and Energo Spets Stroy LLP (EPC contractor)
  • Signing of a memorandum between the EPC contractor and ZIO-Podolsk JSC on localization in Kazakhstan up to 50% of production for assembly of main manufactured components of HRSG equipment for CHPPs

September

  • A meeting of the Investment Attraction Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by R.V.Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held to ensure the start of construction and installation works before receiving a positive opinion of RSE “Gosekspertiza” on the design and construction project “Modernization of Almaty TPP-2 with minimization of environmental impact”
  • Positive conclusion of RSE “Gosexpertiza” on the adjusted Feasibility Study №02-0161/24 was obtained
  • An agreement was signed with Universita degli Studi di Genova (AUES-Genoa) on mutual cooperation, defining the procedure and conditions of practice/internship for the purpose of professional training and acquisition of practical skills in the field of thermal power engineering
  • “Taza Kazakstan: campaign on the Prokhodnaya River” (cleaning of the Prokhodnaya River)
  • A youth book club was organized

Oktober

  • “Toki in Shock” team won the KVN festival “Energy of Young People” of Samruk-Energy Group of Companies
  • A branch of the Energy Department of Satbayev University was opened on the basis of the AlES Personnel Training Division
  • An agreement was signed between AlES JSC and “Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry named after D.V. Sokolsky”. D.V. Sokolsky” for carrying out on the territory of CHPP-2 research and development works of complex cleaning system (CSR-100) in order to achieve environmental performance of boiler units at hard coal combustion
  • Team building for power engineers: a “business trip” to childhood, organized by the company’s labour union

November

  • Online transmission of environmental control data was started
  • Environmental Impact Statement was obtained for Category I facilities under the Almaty CHPP-2 Modernization Project
  • External supervisory audit on Corporate Quality Management System was successfully passed to assess compliance of the company’s activities with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001
  • Start of admission of documents for rented housing with the right to purchase
  • Environmental Challenge: “Be eco-trendy!”

December

  • On December 11, AlES JSC fulfilled the annual electricity production plan
  • Investment Agreement №52 for modernization, reconstruction and (or) expansion with construction of generating units using gas as an alternative fuel type of AlES JSC for 2024-2038 was signed
  • A gas turbine generator was shipped from the port of Charleston (USA) for A.Zhakutov CHPP-2
  • Shipment of gas turbine generator and complex air purifier from the port of Hamburg (Germany) for A.Zhakutov CHPP-2 was carried out
  • A memorandum on realization of joint projects on utilization and processing of ash and slag waste was concluded with “Vulban construction materials limited” LLP
  • At Ansaldo Energia plant in Genoa (Italy) successful tests of AE94.2 generator rotor for CHPP-3 were carried out
  • V forum of the youth organization “Zharkyn Bolashak”
  • Machinist of the Central thermal control panel of steam turbines of CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev JSC “AlES” Aidos Masiraliev became the winner of the contest “Yzdik endiris mamany”
  • Over 12 months of 2024 there were submitted 10 rationalization proposals and 10 were approved. For these proposals 35 co-authors were paid remuneration in the amount of more than 5.05 million tenge
  • 173 employees of the company were awarded in honor of the Power Engineer’s Day
  • 157 babies were born in the families of AlES JSC employees
