Immersion in power engineering: students visited CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov

The station was visited by students of the Eurasian Technical and Economic College on 22 April 2025. It was part of a career guidance program, and the students had the opportunity to see first-hand how one of the largest power facilities in the region operates.

The tour was led by Sergey Tabakayev, head of the Production and Technical Department, an experienced specialist with extensive knowledge and many years of experience in the power industry. It started with a mandatory safety briefing, followed by a tour of the station’s production facilities.

Mahmut Nurtas, a college student, shared his impressions:

– They showed us the main workplaces, and we saw with our own eyes how the turbines and boilers are arranged and how they work. It was incredibly informative! Thank you very much for the knowledge we have gained!

His groupmate, Shamshyrak Ersultan, noted:

“This is one of the most interesting excursions I have ever been on. The theory we study at college was brought to life in real-life production. We would like to express our special thanks to Sergey Petrovich Tabakayev for his detailed explanation and engaging presentation”.

AlES JSC keeps developing its career guidance program by opening its production facilities to future specialists. They are the ones who will soon be at the forefront of providing our cities with energy, light and heat.
