However, the 100 th issue is not only a summing up of some results, but also an opportunity to rise to a new level. A lot has changed in the world and technology, and the newspaper must be up-to-date and relevant. This can only be achieved with your help and support. Therefore, on the eve of the jubilee issue, we asked public opinion leaders and activists of the company to answer questions that will allow us to make the next issues even more informative, interesting and responding to your needs.

Opinions of colleagues – read, agree, dispute, and suggest. We are open to co-operation, alternative opinions and ideas!

Adlet BEISENBAEV, Deputy Chief Engineer – Head of Fuel Receiving and Unloading Centre’s Technical and Engineering Department

1. I have been reading the corporate newspaper since 2016. The idea of highlighting the company’s news and key indicators of the company is the right decision I think.

2. What I remember the most are the stories of our employees, how they started their career, who was their first mentor, how they chose the profession of power engineer and what professional results they achieved.

3. Usually, the publication begins with data reporting on the fulfillment of our Company’s electricity and heat production plan. This is what we pay special attention to first of all, as it is the basis of everything that each production department contributes to the overall result of the Company. After all, it is not only figures and percentages, but also the hard work of each employee, shop, section, division, department and each production department. This is the indicator of well-coordinated, smooth and teamwork – as a single entity that inspires and creates an atmosphere of unity of the entire team.

4. The newspaper materials are all interesting, informative, are always relevant and touch upon important events taking place in the JSC. The user-friendly format of presenting news makes reading easy and pleasant.

5. I have always enjoyed a positive impression reading the newspaper. I wish our corporate newspaper further prosperity, highlighting positive, interesting and useful news!

Sanzhar SAIN, Senior Inspector for Occupational Health and Safety of HPP Cascade

1. I have been reading “AlES News” since the first day of my employment with the Company. I feel it is particularly valuable for me that since last year I myself have become a part of these issues. It not only feels good, but also inspires me, I am proud of my contribution to the common cause.

2. For me, the articles regarding corporate events attended by our team are the most memorable. Stories about professional achievements of employees, company news are also interesting, especially if they are related to the actual work improvements.

3. Articles that reveal the successes of our colleagues, their professional path and contribution to the development of the company are quite inspiring. Such materials create a sense of unity and motivate us to become better. Topics about corporate events and environmental initiatives are also interesting.

4. If I were an editor, I would have focused on personal stories of employees, showing their achievements and professional growth. I would also add a column about new company projects, stories about young people and their ideas, and a section with useful tips for everyday life.

5. May the newspaper grow and develop, remain interesting for all employees, inspire new achievements and strengthen the corporate spirit. I wish every issue to reflect pride in our company and its people!

Gulnur MUKAZHANOVA, master of production section of turbine shop of CHPP- 1 after B.Orazbayev

1. I have been reading the newspaper since December 2024. I believe that the corporate newspaper performs an important function in the sphere of communication within the company, because it informs employees about the goals and plans of the company, indicates the directions of development, aims at preserving traditions and history.

2 The most memorable of the publications was the article about the awarding ceremony of the winners of the “Uzdik ondiris manany” contest. I myself voted for its participant – A. Masiraliyev, who works in my team. He has won and I consider him well worthy of this victory.

3. The youth organization of JSC “AlES”, which is engaged in charity, inspires me a lot. I think that they do a good job, which deserves to be respected. I was also inspired by the material about the announcement by the President of the country that 2025 will be the year of the working professions. This means that the welfare of citizens will increase and the economy will develop. I like the materials about holding forums and meetings with international companies. I think it is very good for our country, for our industry.

4. If I were an editor, I would have chosen materials about the company’s economy, new technologies and charity as the highlights, and I would have expanded the issues with materials about sporting events.

5. After reviewing the columns and topics of the newspaper, I believe that the newspaper covers all aspects of the company’s development. I wish you success and more new readers!

3. Highlights on professional development, success stories of employees and reviews of the company’s projects make the newspaper appealing. They inspire and create a sense of being part of a team. Materials about new approaches to work and tips for improving efficiency are also very interesting.

4. If I were an editor, my key topics would include coverage of the company’s cutting-edge projects, as well as sections on professional development, personal stories and corporate culture. The main focus would be on occupational health and safety. I think the most important thing in our work is to return home safe and sound.

5. I wish the newspaper to keep developing, to stay up to date and interesting for all employees. I wish you more interviews with the common workers, to tell about the everyday life of the workshops.

2. I always remember people who made a huge contribution to the development of power engineering, shared their life story and professional growth in the company. After all, these are the heroes who generously pass on their experience to the younger generation. I have warm memories of Tatiana Georgievna Malofeyeva, a wonderful woman and an experienced specialist in her field.

3. The newspaper reflects various events: sports, professional contests, youth forums, women’s club and even children’s drawing contests. It can be very interesting to look at the creative abilities of the employees of the company who are fond of various hobbies. It is pleasant to realize how many sporty, active and creative power engineers work at AlES. The newspaper motivates us to participate actively in all events.

4. What I like about the newspaper is the information balance: facts about energy production, information about personnel appointments, meetings, life stories and issues. And the history pages of the company make us understand and comprehend the undeniable contribution of simple and hard-working people to the development of the power industry in Kazakhstan.

5. I congratulate “AlES News” on the 100th anniversary issue! I wish you prosperity and endless enthusiasm in your work. I also wish creative and modern trends, cohesive and well-coordinated work.

2. I have memorized many stories, as the newspaper. Especially attractive are the articles on the topic of healthy lifestyle, as well as bright photos from the running marathon.

3. I am also very interested in reading materials about books, especially the selection with recommendations.

4. As a power engineer, I would monthly publish articles about rationalization proposals from employees, highlighting the most creative and promising ideas.

5. I wish the newspaper to prosper, filled with bright and interesting moments. I am sure that the future generation of power engineers will read it as enthusiastically as we do.

3. The articles that help me in my work describe new initiatives and changes in the company. Materials on safety and professional development of employees are inspiring.

4. If I were the editor of a newspaper, I would choose such sections as “News from the shop floor and departments”, stories about employees, their successes and professional paths as the key topics.

5. I would like to read more articles in the newspaper “AlES News” devoted to specific achievements and projects of the employees, as well as to expand the section related to recreation and leisure.

Meruert Omir, hydrostructures by – passer of Buildings and Hydrostructures Operation Centre of Kapshagay HPP named after Sh.Chokin

3. I am inspired by the fact that there is career growth and that whoever comes to work, he started from the bottom and went to the heights. There’s a great need for content about this.

4. If I were the editor of the newspaper, I would cover more stories about the construction of HPPs and CHPPs, tell about what has been done and how the work is being implemented.

5. I wish prosperity to the newspaper of “AlES” JSC and to have more interesting articles!

Akniyet AITKALI, electrician on repair of electrical equipment of power plant of “Energoremont” PRPP

2. I particularly remember the articles about the achievements of our employees, as well as articles about important projects and initiatives that inspire me to new achievements.

Daria SHAIZHANOVA, Head of the Corporate Development and Risk Management Department

1. I have been reading our newspaper since October 2016!

2. I remember the materials about people – employees of the company. For example, the project called “AlES in Faces”.

3. Stories about career success, workers’ achievements and successful climbing the career ladder inspire me. This always inspires and motivates many people to reach equally high levels. The protagonists tell about the goals achieved: what helped them and what obstacles they overcame.

Publications about hobbies and pastimes are interesting – in every team there are employees who are fond of running, painting or skydiving. It’s always interesting to learn new things about the people you work with day in and day out. Besides, nothing unites the team like understanding what your co-workers “breathe with”.

Another important topic is charitable deeds. After all, among our colleagues there are those who help orphanages, animal shelters or are donors. It is necessary to make notes or materials about them. Such news draws attention to topical issues and inspires other employees to take similar actions.

4. If I were an editor, I would definitely add a “Congratulations” section. For example, we would congratulate the company’s long-time employees who have been with the company for more than 30 years on their next labor anniversary. I think the staff would be interested in the heading “What the leaders do for a living”. Everything that concerns leaders is especially interesting. Employees would like to learn about the views and values held by their bosses, what they consider to be important. This would allow them to get to know the leaders better and form the “proper” culture in the company.

I would also make a new headline “First-hand insights into the profession”. Many internal conflicts in companies occur because of a misunderstanding of the goals and objectives of each division. Articles about the peculiarities of different professions will help to raise awareness among employees. You can make articles in the style of “One day in the life of a process engineer”, “10 questions for a supply specialist” or create funny comics.

5. My wishes to the corporate newspaper – keep inspiring! And many, many more new issues!

Shalkar ALTYBAEV, Chief Capital Construction Specialist of Production and Technical Department of B.Orazbayev CHPP-1

2. As a reader, information about the results of production activities attracts me most of all.

3. And the articles about the successes of AlES power engineers are inspiring.

4. I don’t think that if I were the editor, I would change anything: there is an optimal format, good presentation of materials. I like it as it is.

5. I wish the newspaper success and prosperity.

2. I especially remember the materials about the achievements of employees and their life path, hobbies (hobbies) in their free time from work.

3. I like the section “AlES in Faces”.

4. I would choose materials about achievements of employees, their rationalization proposals as the main one. I believe that the employees of the JSC should know that we have talented people working here. I think it will be a great motivation for the others.

5. I would like to wish our corporate newspaper further prosperity, creative success, good luck in all endeavors and more good news.

3. Stories about the achievements of our employees, as well as materials on best practices, are inspiring. They create a sense of pride in our common endeavor.

4. As a hypothetical editor, I would suggest a tips and sharing section for all employees!

5. I wish “AlES News” to continue to inspire its readers, unite the team, highlight significant achievements and remain the leading corporate publication for all who work for the benefit of the power industry.

Bakytzhan TOKKSHARAYEV, Head of Budget and Economic Analysis Division of the Economics Department

1. I have been reading the newspaper since the very first issue, never missing a single issue.

2. Most memorable were the stories about active recreation of trade union members, about our marathon runners, about ecological actions, foreign business trips, and the most pleasant – the materials on awarding in honor of the Power Engineer’s Day.

3. My favorite section is “AlES in Faces”. It is very informative and fascinating to read materials about real professionals, about how these hard-working people started their careers, who was their mentor, and what attracted them to the power industry.

4. If I were the editor, I would choose the topic “Issues of concern of our employees” addressed to specific managers of the Company as the main material. And in the next issue I would publish the answer or solution to this issue. Such a section would allow the newspaper to move from an informative and cognitive category to an effective media with feedback.

5. Taking into account that 2025 is declared to be the “Year of Working Professions”, I wish the editorial office to publish more materials on social support, improvement of social and living conditions, implementation of the housing program, organization of catering, strengthening of occupational health and safety. It is also important to publish data on staff turnover as the main indicator of social stability.

Ilyas Kenesbayuly, Head of the ZTC’s ASD

1. I have been reading “AlES News” since the beginning of my work in the Company. It is not just a newspaper for me, but a source of inspiration and an opportunity to keep abreast of important events, successes of my colleagues and development prospects of our company.

2. The establishment of the Energy Department of Satbayev University on the basis of the Personnel Training Department of Almaty Energy Stations JSC was one of the brightest moments for us. It is good that they wrote about it!

3. Articles about professional successes of employees and achievements of the company are of special importance to me. They not only inspire, but also create a sense of unity of our team.

4. If I were the editor, I would highlight the following key sections that reflect the successes of the company and its employees: for example, “AlES in Faces”, “Innovations in the Power Industry”. I would also add a section with useful tips for professional and personal development, as well as the section “Company Traditions”.

5. I wish the newspaper “AlES News” to keep being a source of inspiration and a link between employees. Let every issue have a place for warm stories, useful information and motivating examples. Success to the editorial team and inexhaustible flow of ideas!
