Head of Samruk-Energy visits Almaty CHPP-2

Kairat Maksutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC, held a meeting with the management of AlES and production departments as part of a working visit to Almaty. He reviewed a report on financial and economic activities for the past five months and the progress of maintenance campaigns in preparation for the autumn-winter period.

The meeting resulted in a number of instructions regarding the timely and high-quality completion of maintenance work and ensuring full readiness for the autumn-winter period.

After the meeting, the head of Samruk-Energy inspected the construction site of the new combined cycle gas turbine plant at Almaty CHPP-2, the first gas turbine set of which is currently being installed.

It should be noted that the project for the modernization of Almaty CHPP-2 with minimal impact on the environment is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State.
