Exciting emotions, beneficial knowledge, and summer fun
Event at the Edelweiss camp as part of the “School Ambassadors” project
Event at the Edelweiss camp as part of the School Ambassadors project. On 11 July 2025, during the first session of the Edelweiss children’s health camp, an exciting and eventful event was held as part of the School Ambassadors corporate project. Currently, 195 kids of energy workers are enjoying their holidays at the camp.

The School Ambassadors project aims to spark schoolchildren’s interest in the industry, create a positive and modern image of energy workers, and raise awareness of career opportunities in this field. The program pays special attention to attracting girls to the energy sector, which promotes the principles of gender equality and expands the participation of women in the technical and engineering professions of the future.
The daily program included several thematic blocks: training, games and a final celebration. The day began with an important and useful part – a lesson on the basics of first aid. Anel Saduakas, a calculation and mode engineer, and Birzhan Kydyrmanov, a senior inspector at CHPP-3, explained and showed the children how to act in emergency situations in an accessible way. The children listened with interest, asked questions and actively participated in the demonstration of techniques. It was a serious and essential part of the program, but it was conducted in a positive manner.
Next, the participants enjoyed a themed game inspired by the series “Squid Game”. All activities were adapted to the children’s age, took place in a playful, safe manner, and were accompanied by a storm of emotions. Competitive spirit, teamwork, and peer support were the main features of this part of the program.

The highlight of the day was colorful foam show – a flood of joy, laughter, dancing and foam! It was a bright spot in a busy day, giving the children unforgettable emotions. Each participant received an individual gift box styled to match the theme of the event, which was a pleasant final touch.
“This day will definitely remain in our memories for a long time! It was fun, dynamic and very heartfelt!” said Anel Saduakas. “It was important for us not just to entertain, but to give the children useful knowledge and a positive experience. We are confident that we succeeded,” added Birzhan Kydyrmanov.

It should be noted that the children’s health camp is the result of collective preparation. AlES JSC prepared for the summer season in advance. In June, Edelweiss underwent comprehensive renovation and landscaping. The flooring was replaced, the walls and facades were painted, new playgrounds were installed, and the campfire area was improved. Special thanks go to the team at AlES JSC and the local trade union Energia. “I would like to express my special gratitude to the staff of the Cascade HPP and personally to the driver of the motor transport section, Denis Izmalkov. He not only performed his official duties, but also became the actual coordinator of the repair work,” emphasized Gulnaz Merembai, representative of the Cascade HPP trade union committee.

The summer season isn’t over yet. In 2025, there will be two sessions at the Edelweiss camp. The second session starts on 18 July and goes until August 2, 2025.
AlES traditionally pays attention to the organization of children’s recreation, combining developmental, educational and entertainment elements aimed at forming sustainable skills, a positive worldview and team qualities in the younger generation.
