Energy in detail: students visited the CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev

12 students from various universities who are currently doing internships at the Amanat party took part in an introductory tour of the CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev on 5 June. This unique opportunity allowed young people to learn more about the work of one of the oldest energy facilities in the city.

The scale of the station, its technological equipment and the coordinated work of production processes made a lasting impression on the tour participants.

Bolatkhan Bekzatyuly, a second-year student at Abay Kazakh National University, studying at the Faculty of Psychology, admitted: “The tour was very informative. Everything, from the huge building to the complex mechanisms, was surprising and inspiring. You can see how important teamwork is here. I even wondered how interesting it would be to apply my knowledge of psychology at a station like this.”

Zhazira Unaybekova, a second-year student majoring in International Relations at Ablai Khan Kazakh National University of Arts and Culture, also visited such a facility for the first time: “This is my first experience on such a scale. Everything was fascinating, and we learned a lot about how the station works. You can feel the real power and responsibility – the energy of the place is even physically perceptible.

Zazira’s classmate Madina Kamataeva added: “I had never been to a thermal power plant before. It was fascinating to see how everything works inside. The tour flew by. Today, I will definitely share this with my family and friends – these are things that everyone should know.”

Aida Erkebay, a student at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University majoring in political science, emphasized the importance of conserving resources:

“Now I know for sure that there is a tremendous amount of work behind our electricity, heat and hot water. I was particularly impressed by the boiler room. After what I saw, I will pay more attention to things that I used to take for granted”.

The tour not only broadened the students’ horizons, but also gave them a new perspective on the importance of energy-related professions. Such meetings are a step towards shaping a responsible and conscious generation that values labor and resources.
