Embraced by strength, warmth and personal growth: the AlES Women’s Club welcomes self-development

Towards the end of June, AlES held not just another club meeting, but a genuine gathering of hearts. The company’s Women’s Club once again brought together its members, long since becoming for them an island of trust, sincere support and mutual inspiration. This time, the topic of deep and very personal conversation was “Self-development”.

This heartfelt meeting was initiated by the women’s team at the Western Thermal Complex. The team put not only their energy into preparing for the event, but also a piece of their hearts, striving to reveal the topic in all its complexity.

“We chose self-development so that we could rethink the role of women today together,” shared Zarina Rombekova, HR engineer at ZTC and one of the meeting’s leaders. “It’s about opportunities for personal growth, self- discovery, creativity and career. We wanted to embrace everything: mind, body and soul. And what is particularly precious is that in our women’s circle, everyone feels that ‘you are not alone”.

A team led by Ainur Temirbaeva, chief specialist of the ZTС human resources sector, created a unique and welcoming atmosphere. “We immediately abandoned formality,” Ainur explained. “We had everyone sit in a circle so they could see each other’s eyes and feel supported. The goal was one: to awaken self-love in everyone! The girls baked homemade pies themselves and used the money they saved to buy small gifts – tokens of attention and care for each participant.

The program was created out of sincere desires. Having conceived a visual symbol of a woman in the lotus position, the organizers were delighted to learn that the talented Yulia Bayanova, a laboratory assistant at the ZTC Chemical Service, was skilled at drawing. Her drawing became the keynote of the meeting, and later she held a master class on clay modeling.

“It was a genuine collaborative effort!” the organizers recall. “Zarina wrote the script, Asem prepared the materials and baked, Moldir entertained everyone with songs, Yulia drew and taught sculpting, and Zarina and I led the discussion”. Each person contributed their own unique touch.

The highlight of the meeting was casual chats where the women just talked… to themselves. “We asked ourselves important questions,” said Konstantsia Kaderbayeva, an engineer at CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov. “For example, “What am I grateful to myself for over the last six months?” This helped us to take a break, listen to ourselves, and acknowledge our path. I gained not only inspiration, but also a feeling that we are together.”

A special, emblematic continuation of the conversation about internal resources was a master class on sculpting with white clay. “We channeled energy through our fingers,” noted Asem Saduakas, a chemical engineer at ZTC. “Everything that is created with love has a power. Each of us went home not just with a figurine, but with a piece of the awakened creator within ourselves.”

The table, covered with homemade treats made by the participants, created a warm, almost family-like atmosphere. “We wanted everyone to feel that they were welcome here that they were happy to be here!” emphasized Moldir Zhampozova, an engineer at the ZTC’s technical department.

The participants’ revelations turned out to be the most valuable gift of the meeting. “We fit into so many roles – mother, wife, professional,” shared Indira Mandibayeva, an engineer in the logistics department of the CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev. “That we often forget about ourselves. I was deeply moved by the question: “Was I able to say “no” – and was I happy with that?” It reminded me that it is important to be able to be strong and… allow yourself to be weak.”

The AlES Women’s Club is more than just an event. It is a space where you can take off your masks and be yourself. It is a place where a woman is neither a position nor a function, but first and foremost a human being with her own unique history, dreams, depth of feelings and inalienable right to growth. It is precisely here, in a sincere circle of trust, that the very strength, warmth and energy are generated that fills, support and inspire us to move forward.
