On 12 September 2025, CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev held a Doors Open Day for students of Almaty College of Energy and Electronic Technologies. The event was attended by 60 students and their accompanying teachers.

Karim Sartayev, the station director, opened the event with a welcome speech. He spoke about the importance of the power industry for Almaty and the region, the structure of the company and the tasks of its production departments. Special emphasis was placed on the role of young specialists in the future of the company. The director highlighted the advantages of working at AlES JSC: stable salaries, comprehensive social benefits, corporate events and development programmes, including paid study leave and training.
Aisulu Botaeva, head of the employer support department at the Labor Mobility Centre, introduced students to government measures to support young people. Special attention was paid to the Youth Practice program, employment of students during their free time, and opportunities for vocational training at the expense of the state budget. The digital platforms Enbek.kz and Mansap Compasses were presented as modern tools for career paths.
“Together with the students, we visited the Doors Open Day, which took place at the CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev. This event was very educational and beneficial. The students were able to familiarize themselves with the production process and the work process. The students learned about the production process and the workflow. They listened attentively to information about current vacancies at AlES JSC, career growth prospects and internships. I believe that such events give students a lot of experience and give us a good opportunity to get to know future specialists better,” said Dilnaz Dyusembaeva, training engineer at PRP Eneroremont.
The final stage was a tour of the CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev under the guidance of a safety inspector, the students learned about the production process and work procedures and saw how electricity and heat are provided to thousands of Almaty families.
“We saw with our own eyes how electricity is produced. We saw the operation of large boilers, turbines and generators. The engineers explained the process of electricity production to us in detail. The tour was very interesting, as we saw what we had learned in theory. We understood that AlES is of great importance to the Almaty region, as it provides it with heat and electricity,” shared Moldir Bakytzhan, a student of the TE-2400 group.
The Doors Open Day was a success and became an important stage in career guidance. Students not only gained new knowledge and impressions, but also motivation to link their future with the energy industry.
AlES JSC is confident that the energy of the future lies in the hands of young specialists who are already taking their first steps towards a career in the energy industry.
