“Clear water – caring for everyone”: AlES JSC launched a comfort and healthcare project

AlES JSC not only ensures uninterrupted operation of power facilities, but also the health and comfort of its employees. The large-scale project aimed at installation of 42 modern drinking fountains at all production sites of the company was a vivid evidence of this fact. Employees of CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov were the first to appreciate the innovation, where 10 fountains with pure water have already been installed.

Each fountain is equipped with filters capable of purifying up to 5,000 tons of water. “These are not just water access spots – they provide a guarantee of quality. We will change the filters in a timely manner, depending on the load”, said Maksat Talgatuly, chief specialist of the Capital Construction Department. But before the employees could feel the benefits, the team had to tackle the difficult tasks of bringing in utilities and, in some areas, even laying water and sewer lines from scratch. “Working on our own, we did it in a fortnight. Now the system works like clockwork”, Maksat says proudly.

Employees of Zhakutov CHPP-2 have already appreciated the innovations. Nurlan Suleiman, a mechanic at the turbine shop, shares: “It used to be far to go to get water, but now the fountains are literally a step away. I drink about 5 litres a day: my work is physical, and I can’t go anywhere without water. The team was particularly delighted with the design of the points at CHPP-2: they were decorated with flexible marble, adding aesthetics to the production atmosphere. By the way, this design was suggested by the plant employees themselves. “It’s nice to be thought of. The water is good, I take it for myself and I drink about 1.5 liters a day”, smiles Ainur Davletaliyeva, shift supervisor at the chemical shop.

The project has become an example of how technical solutions turn into an expression of care. “The management has shown that our comfort and health are a priority. It’s very motivating”, the workers say. And for those who work in the workshops, the fountains have become a real lifesaver on hot days and during hard work.

The installation of all the points has already been completed at CHPP-2, and by the end of March, all 42 fountains of the production departments in AlES JSC will serve the employees. ”This is just the beginning. The next step is the modernization of other recreation areas”, the company announces.

The project has not just solved the issue of access to water – it has become another brick in the culture of AlES JSC, where every employee is valued. After all, even such a seemingly small thing as a sip of pure water can make the working day brighter and the team more united.
