The annual heat supply plan was fulfilled by 105%: the planned volume of 1,405 ths. Gcal was 1,484 ths. Gcal.

Almaty CHPP-1 – one of the oldest plants in Kazakhstan. It is located practically in the central part of the city – on the territory of Zhetysu district of Almaty. The main consumers of heat and electricity of CHPP-1 are the housing and communal sector and industrial enterprises of Almaty.

For reference

Design and construction of the first stage of Alma-Ata CEG (now CHPP-1) started in 1931. The first unit was put under load on 25 October 1935. In 1936, 1.8 mln. kWh of electricity was generated. Today this electricity generation is equal to the daily operation of the station. Alma-Ata CHPP-1 generated heat energy for the first time in 1961.
