The history of JSC AlES dates back to 25 October 1935, when the first turbine unit with an electric capacity of 3 thousand kW was put under industrial load. It became a grandiose event for the city and the whole region. Gradually, year by year, decade by decade, the power complex of the city increased its capacity, becoming by now one of the leading companies in the energy sector of sovereign Kazakhstan.
