Almaty Electric Stations JSC obtained certificates of readiness for the heating season

Almaty Electric Stations JSC has completed preparations for the autumn-winter period and received all certificates of readiness for the 2025-2026 heating season. This document is official confirmation that the company is fully prepared for stable and safe operation in conditions of below-zero temperatures.

Preparations for the heating season were carried out in all production departments of Almaty Electric Stations JSC:

• Major and routine repairs of equipment at thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants were carried out.
• The required stock of fuel and materials was formed.
• Personnel underwent training and practiced scenarios for operating under increased load conditions.

Receipt of the certificates confirms the readiness of energy companies to provide reliable heat and electricity supply to the Almaty region. During the winter cold spell, heat and hot water will be supplied to residential buildings, social institutions, schools and hospitals without interruption.

“Obtaining readiness certificates is the result of great teamwork. Every workshop and every station put a lot of effort into the preparations. We did everything to ensure that the residents of Almaty and the region could face winter calmly and confidently,” said Bauyrzhan Kaliev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board – Chief Engineer of AlES JSC.

They stand for the tremendous work of engineers, repair crews and power engineers who worked throughout the summer and autumn to ensure that winter would pass without any disruptions.

Reference: The heating season in Almaty and the Almaty region begins when there is a sustained cold snap: when the average daily air temperature remains below +8 °C for five consecutive days. The decision on the start date of the heating season is made by the Almaty City Administration and the Almaty Region Administration, taking into account weather forecasts, the readiness of social facilities and the condition of engineering networks. Social facilities, hospitals, schools and kindergartens will be connected first, followed by other consumers.
