Almaty Electric Stations JSC announces ecological campaigns “Unload yourself!” aimed at collecting and handing over waste batteries and collecting and handing over waste paper: “What remains after us …”
The aim of the campaign: raising the awareness of the Company’s employees about separate waste disposal and the environment in general, developing an active social position and acquiring the skills of hazardous waste management.
Objective of the campaign: arrangement of intensive collection and handover of waste batteries for further recycling, as well as collection and handover of waste paper for recycling, which will save dozens of trees, as well as develop a culture of careful attitude to resources and environmental responsibility at the corporate level.
Campaign description: the participants of the campaign will collect waste batteries until 05 December for further transfer to a company engaged in their recycling, and paper waste, which is generated in the course of the Company’s daily work – office paper, magazines, advertising printing, newspapers, old and obsolete books, paper packaging, and cardboard. After the end of the campaign, all collected waste paper will be handed over to a specialized organization for recycling in accordance with the concluded agreement.
The waste batteries should be handed over to the responsible ecologists of the Production Department, in the Head Office they are accepted in office #234.
Participants: all employees of the Company.

Conditions for handing in the batteries:
They accept:
- all types of waste (used)batteries (AAA batteries, pin batteries, crown batteries, barrel batteries, pill batteries);
- batteries of mobile phones and toys for children.
Waste batteries are accepted in boxes, cases, or in thick polythene bags.
Conditions for handing in the waste paper:
They accept:
- magazines, old and out-of-use books, newspapers;
- cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging, archives;
- waste from the printing house, etc.
Before handing over, waste paper should be placed in boxes, it can be tied with rope or twine.
- Paper and cardboard should be dry, clean, written on 2 sides;
- documents and assembled products are accepted without staples, clips, files, binders;
- items must not be contaminated with varnish, chemicals or oils.
Stages of the campaign:
- February 17, 2025. – announcement of the campaign;
- until December 05, 2025 – acceptance and weighing of batteries;
- December 19, 2025. – summarizing and announcing the results of battery collection.
