AlES volleyball players: one step away from gold

The men’s and women’s volleyball teams of AlES JSC took second place in a friendly tournament among water supply and energy organizations in Almaty. The tournament was organized by the Almaty Su Local Trade Union. A total of three women’s teams and eight men’s teams from companies in this industry took part in the tournament. The winners of the women’s and men’s tournaments were the volleyball players of AZHK JSC.

Staying just short of winning the tournament, the Almaty energy teams showed coordinated play, determination, a will to win, and, as their fans hope, high potential for leadership and victory. The autumn tournament also showed that this game is popular at AlES JSC, with well-coordinated and well-trained teams that have their own signature style of play.

“It was a large-scale and exciting tournament among water supply and energy organisations in the city of Almaty. Of course, everyone wants to win, but objectively assessing our opponents, we are proud that the teams from Almaty power stations deservedly took second place in both men’s and women’s volleyball. Based on the results of the tournament, I can say that this is an indicator of perseverance, professionalism and true teamwork, says Akpeil Myrzagaliqyzy, head of the Logistics Department at the Sh.Chokin Kapshagai Hydroelectric Power Plant”. We believe that such events not only strengthen corporate spirit, but also inspire employees to new achievements. We would like to see more such initiatives – they benefit both the teams and the city as a whole. An excellent tournament and worthy coverage of the event!

According to the participants’ feedback, the tournament was of a very high standard: fair refereeing, a warm atmosphere and good organization, which made a big impression on everyone.

– Events like this strengthen friendly ties between organizations in the energy sector and make a significant contribution to promoting a healthy lifestyle. We are proud to have taken part in this tournament with our team and to have come second, says Aidos Seleubaev, captain of the men’s volleyball team and electric welder at PRP Eneroremont. We would like to express our immense gratitude for organizing such a wonderful sporting event! We hope that similar tournaments will be held in the future.

But sport is not just a hobby, and volleyball is not just a game: it is a wonderful model of teamwork, which is especially valued in the work of enterprises such as energy facilities.

During the tournament, each team demonstrated its skills and became a true example of friendship and unity. We received a lot of joy, a boost of energy and team spirit, concludes Ali Bauyrzhanuly, an electrician at CHPP-3. Special thanks to the organizers for their professional work, fair refereeing and warm welcome!

The energy workers make no secret of the fact that second place is also a strong motivation to train harder, as those who stopped just one step away from gold will certainly want to reach the top of the podium.
