Ales: the heating season was successful

In accordance with Resolution No. 2/260 of the Almaty akimat, the heating season 2023-2024 in the city was completed on 15 April 2024. Heat supply is stopped due to the onset of stable warm weather.

– In general, the heating season was successful, as evidenced by the uninterrupted supply of heat and electricity to consumers of the city and Almaty region, – said Yerik Mashirov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC AlES. – During this period, Almaty power plants generated 2.9 bln. kWh of electricity and 4.6 mln. Gcal of heat energy, fulfilling in full contractual obligations to consumers.

Recall that annually the heating season starts when the average daily outside temperature is below +8 degrees Celsius for five consecutive days, if the heat is supplied through the centralized system. The heating season ends when the average daily outside temperature remains above this level for five days. The term of the heating season is approved by the Almaty city akimat.

AlES is the main energy source of Almaty and Almaty region and provides about 76% of district heating and 60% of electricity. The Company includes: three CHPPs, Western Heat Complex, Kapshagayskaya HPP, Cascade of HPP, PRC “Energoremont”, Fuel Reception and Unloading Center.

In April, in accordance with the plans, Company starts repair campaign on the main and auxiliary equipment of energy sources.
