AlES JSC: the progress of work at the CHPР is under control

Yernat Berdigulov, Managing Director for Strategy and Asset Management of JSC NWF Samruk-Kazyna, held working meetings at the sites of Almaty CHPP-3 and Almaty CHPP-2 on July 26, 2024.

During the visit to the site of Almaty CHPP-3, a report was heard from the management of AlES JSC on the ongoing repair work to prepare the station for the autumn-winter period 2024-2025. In addition, the progress of the project to convert this plant to gas was discussed. According to the results of the meeting, the Managing Director gave instructions to the EPC-Contractor on the deadlines for completing the development of the design and estimate documentation and obtaining the conclusion of the non-departmental expertise.

At the site of Almaty CHPP-2 Yernat Berdigulov was familiarised with the works being carried out at the site. The meeting was also attended by authorised representatives of the Almaty branch of JSC ICA and Almaty production branch of JSC QAZAQGAZ AIMAQ, who reported on the timing of completion of construction of the supply infrastructure for the above CHPP.

As is well known, the issue of preparation for the heating season is under the control of the government and the head of state. On 29 July, President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev met with Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev, where this issue was raised. Following the meeting, the President instructed to carry out relevant work to prepare for the heating season.
