Aidos Massiraliyev conquered Mount
Now to Molodezhny Peak along the Eastern Ridge conquered by young Almaty electric engineer Aidos Massiraliyev. He took part in the mass ascent within the framework of “Alpiniada Almaty 2024” on 31 August 2024. More than a thousand people started the Alpiniada of 1B category of complexity. The route passed along the following marks: Medeu (1600 m) – Shymbulak (2380 m) – Tuyuk-Su tract (2400 m) – Mynzhylki (3100 m) – Tuyuk-Su glacier (3500 m) – Molodezhny peak (4147 m). That is, the altitude difference was about 2000 m.

354 participants out of 1000 registered climbed to the summit. Their safety was ensured by 25 climbers of the Mountaineering Federation and 15 rescuers. Aidos Massiraliyev was among those who reached the top with the flag of AlES JSC.
Aidos, a machinist of the Central thermal control panel of steam turbines of CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev, traditionally takes the flag of the company with him on the ascent. He emphasizes thereby that it is not only his personal victory, but also the victory of the whole team of Almaty power engineers, the whole company.
– I started from Shymbulak at 5:30 in the morning, arrived at Peak at 12:21 in the afternoon, – says Aidos Massiraliyev. – The distance covered, according to my marks, was about 13 kilometres. This time the ascent was more difficult for me, not like on Almaty (Komsomol) peak. Maybe because of the fact that we passed the whole route in one breath, and not with an overnight stay, as it was last time. The route was long, with steep ascents and descents. In general, my goal was to conquer another peak, to test my endurance once again, and I did it!

It should be reminded that the Alpiniada has become a unique business card of Almaty. According to the website of the Commonwealth of Sports Tourists of Kazakhstan turclub.kz, Almaty is the only city in the world that regularly holds a series of climbs per year with the participation of several thousand people. As a rule, the route for climbers is prepared by climbers of the Mountaineering Federation of Almaty, the Mountaineering School of Almaty and the Commonwealth of Sports Tourists of Kazakhstan turclub.kz under the assignment of the Tourism Department of the southern capital of Kazakhstan. All along the way, trained mountain volunteers of the Almaty Mountaineering Federation provided assistance and support to all participants, and an ambulance was on duty. According to the organizers, there were no injuries or breakdowns.
By the way, the Alpiniada on the peak Molodezhny held in accordance with last year’s Presidential Address to the Nation, with the Law ‘On State Youth Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan’, with the Concept of development of the tourism industry of the country, in order to attract the population to active types of tourism, development and popularization of mountaineering, recalled the website of the Mountaineering Federation of Almaty falp.kz.

The city has long been positioned as the financial and cultural capital of the country, and there is every reason to call Almaty the capital of mountaineering in Kazakhstan. Earlier Almaty climbers within the framework of the Alpiniada conquered the peak of Panfilov Heroes (12 May) and the peak of Almaty (Komsomol) on 7 July, which was climbed by Aidos Massiraliyev.
– It wasn’t easy, I’ll be honest,’ the young climber admitted after climbing Molodezhny Peak. – But the most difficult part of the whole route, strange as it may seem, was not the ascent, but… the descent. But it was worth it. And how breathtaking was the view from Molodezhny Peak, which is located between Maloalmatinsky and Kumbelsu gorges, and how unforgettable was the beauty of the mountains – cannot be explained in words.
Well, how not to recall immortal lines of Vladimir Vysotsky, which will surely convey the feelings of a young energy worker:
“The whole world is in the palm of your hand – you are happy and happy.
And only a little envious of those,
Who have the peak still ahead of them”.
Molodezhny Peak is remarkable because at the foot of its northern slope there is a glaciological station “Tuyuksu Glacier”, which has been studying the Tuyuksu Glacier since the end of the 19th century! And on the western side of the mountain there is a house of hydrologists who monitor the water level in the Kumbelsu river.
Following the advice of the organizers and professional mountaineers, Aidos continues to maintain the necessary physical shape, doing regular sports and preparing for new ascents. After all, as Vladimir Vysotsky sang, ‘Only mountains that you have never been to before can be better than mountains”.
Who knows, maybe after the four-thousand meters, Aidos will soon follow other successes….
