Abuseit BAKIROV: there are lots of professions on earth but the best one is to be power engineer
Senior foreman of FRC Abuseit Bakirov has undergone an impressive path on the ladder of self-development in his 39 years: training at the Republican Specialised Physics and Mathematics Boarding School (RSFMSHI), Almaty Institute of Power Engineering and Communications, Faculty of Thermal Power Engineering.
He also succeeded in his career as a mathematician-thermal power engineer: working in Tengizchevroil (TCO) as an electrical design engineer, participation in a very famous and prestigious innovation project in Kazakhstan – construction of the Second Generation Project Plant (SGP & SGI). Taking part in other significant projects in the oil industry.
However, in 2017, Abuseit Bakirov abruptly changed both the sphere and location, taking a job at Almaty Electric Stations JSC. He now works as a senior foreman at the company’s Fuel Receiving and Unloading Centre (FRC). Speaking about his current job, Abuseit admits: “There are many professions on earth, but only one is the best! And that is power engineering.” The boy from the village of Zhanakorgan in the Kyzylorda region pursued his profession with determination: in 1998, when, having passed the competition, he was accepted to RSFMShI; and in 2004, he went to Almaty to study at the Faculty of Heat and Power Engineering. And when after graduating from this university, having passed a serious selection process, I got a job in a foreign company Tengizchevroil (TCO).
– Working in the energy sector is interesting and exciting”, says Abuseit Abuzhusipovich. – Power engineering is not an easy profession. Maybe someone thinks otherwise, but according to the data, more than half of people who graduate from a power engineering university do not work by their specialty. But for me, it is the best of all professions. It does not allow you to “stagnate”, because every day you face interesting and challenging tasks and find even more interesting solutions. I am also grateful to my colleagues who always come to help and support me. Working with the company’s personnel, as well as dealing with diverse, unique and sometimes enormous equipment, such as, for example, a diesel locomotive, I have gained valuable experience. And this experience now helps me to move forward. This is very important, as the world of technology is changing very rapidly. Our company acquires new equipment, adopts new technologies, so I cannot halt in my profession if I plan to work here. That is why my goal is continuous self-development in the professional sphere.
Abuseit Abuzhusipovich is constantly being trained and is ready to continue learning at various seminars and courses. He also acquires new experience by participating in the processes of development and application of new innovative technologies in the field of power engineering at the enterprises of AlES JSC.
– I think that I am still at the very beginning of my profession, – modestly points out Abuseit Bakirov. – I also sincerely cheer the achievements of my colleagues and successes of our company – Almaty Electric Stations JSC. Today it is a serious company, which provides a huge city with electricity and heat. The company continues to develop, modernize, systematically solves environmental and social issues. This makes the whole team of AlES JSC very satisfied, because nowadays there are few companies where an employee can feel socially protected and look into tomorrow with strong confidence. I am also very glad that we have an opportunity to develop in creative and sports terms. I, for example, regularly play football in my free time. I am a goalkeeper in the team, and I also participate in various championships, as well as defend the honour of AlES JSC among power engineers in the tournament organized by “Samruk-Energy”.
Abuseit Bakirov is well regarded in the company. “Such responsible people and competent specialists are the basis not only for companies, but also for the whole national power industry”, emphasizes AlES JSC management. – Highly educated and energetic employees, capable of learning new things constantly, are the core of our industry”.
