A house filled with energy

AlES handed over the keys to apartments to its employees

On 15 October 2025, a solemn ceremony was held in the assembly hall of the CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev to hand over the keys to apartments to 38 employees of AlES JSC.

This day was a real celebration for those who have been working for many years for the benefit of Almaty’s energy sector – for the people who fill the city with warmth and light every day.

The AlES housing program was created to support employees, strengthen their confidence in the future and help them solve one of the most important tasks in life – purchasing their own home. In May, a list of 38 candidates was approved (out of 340 applications submitted), and in July, contracts were signed for the purchase of apartments worth almost 1 billion tenge. The handover of the keys was the final stage of this large-scale project. The flats were purchased in the modern residential complexes Qargalycity and GateCity, which are distinguished by their comfort and good infrastructure.

Yernar Sandybayev, Managing Director for General Affairs, noted while handing over the keys:

“It is important for us not only to develop production, but also to create conditions in which people feel confident and proud of their work. These flats are a token of gratitude for their hard work and dedication to their profession.

The hall responded to these words with applause. Joy, excitement, smiles – all this created an atmosphere of true unity and family warmth.

The new residents are people of different professions, but united by the same creative energy.

Sergey Bychenko, foreman of the PRP Eneroremont site, said that the paperwork was completed smoothly and without any difficulties. His colleague, Alexander Khomochkin, shift supervisor of the electrical workshop, has been working at CHPP-3 since 2006: “It feels great! Many thanks to CHPP-3 and AlES! I am very satisfied,” he shared, unable to hide his smile.

Another representative of CHPP-3, Vladimir Utenkov, has been working in the energy sector for 19 years. For his family, the new flat is the realization of a dream that spans several generations. ‘My wife is very happy – finally, we have our own home! My uncle, aunt and parents all worked at the station, and now my sister works there. We are a real dynasty of energy workers,’ Vladimir says proudly.

Akilbek Berishev, a diesel locomotive engineer at the Central Power Plant, also shared his story. For 22 years, he commuted daily from Talgar, spending two and a half hours each way. ‘Now I have an apartment close to work. It’s a huge relief for the whole family,’ he admitted.

Almas Erzhienov, a flaw detection specialist in the metals and welding department of the Eneroremont PRP, spoke with particular gratitude. Over 20 years of continuous service, he raised a large family – eight children, three of whom are already students. “We are very happy that we have the opportunity to get an apartment. Now the children will live here, in their own home,” Almas shared.

These stories were complemented by Rimma Musaeva, a chemical analysis laboratory assistant at the CHPP-2 named after A.Zhakutov. She has been working at the station for fifteen years and admits: “I really believed that I would get an apartment. I submitted my documents at the last minute – and I got it! Now I possess my very own family corner.”

For Ainur Iemberdieva from CHPP-1, getting an apartment has become a symbol of generational continuity. “My dad also worked at the station. Everyone is very happy, especially him – and me, of course,” she says warmly.

Dinmukhamed Klyukov, head of the thermal automation and measurement workshop at ZTC, did not hide his emotions. “Before, I lived with my parents, but now I have my own place. With AlES, dreams come true!” smiles Dinmukhamed, holding the coveted key in his hands.

Gulmira Ersariyeva, chief specialist of the accounting and reporting department, who has been working at AlES since 2006, admitted that she is already mentally furnishing her new space. ‘I’m collecting ideas on Pinterest, downloading pictures, thinking through every detail. I’m very happy!’ she says with inspiration.

Baurzhan Bekturov, chief specialist of the thermal automation and measurement workshop at the B.Orazbayev CHPP-1, did not hide his emotions either. He had to leave for work at 5:30 a.m. every day and commute for 2.5 hours each way. ‘Now everything will change. I am very happy that the company supports us. The selection was fair. This is real motivation to continue working at CHPP-1,’ he said.

After the official part, the employees and management took photos together at the festive photo zone and exchanged words of gratitude and good wishes. The atmosphere was filled with pride and a sense of being one big friendly family.

‘Programs like this are not just about helping. They are about care and attention, which cannot be overestimated,’ said the participants, holding the symbol of their new stage in life in their hands.

Asel Arginbayeva, Managing Director for Economics and Finance at AlES JSC, emphasized:

“This year, we introduced a housing program and can already see how important it is for our people. We will definitely continue it next year. We plan to allocate a separate quota for young professionals so that they stay at AlES and work with us for many years to come.”

This program has become more than just social support. It is a sign of gratitude, a symbol of care and proof that AlES values its people.

The energy that employees give to the city every day comes back to them in the form of warmth, comfort and confidence in the future.

For many, this day marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, filled with dreams, plans and joy that now live in their own homes.
