AlES flag on the Almaty peak

Aydos Massiraliyev was able to see Almaty in the pre-dawn beauty of the awakening city from a height of 4,376 metres and to hoist the flag of JSC AlES on the top of Almaty (Komsomol) Peak last weekend. Now the flag of the company, which provides Almaty with heat and light, is flying at the top of Zailiyskiy Alatau.

Aidos is a machinist of the Central Heat Shield of Steam Turbines Department of HPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev, has been working in JSC AlES for 12 years already. He is characterised by high efficiency, professionalism and determination. He says that many strong-willed qualities were developed thanks to sports, they also allow him to achieve success in everything.

In preparation for the ascent of Almaty peak – also known as Komsomol Peak or Nursultan Peak, his goal was not only to achieve a new personal achievement in mountaineering, but also to demonstrate pride in the company and his profession by raising the flag of Almaty electric engineers on the very top of the mountain.

– We started our way on the 6th of July. That day we had to get to Nunataki pass before dark to set up camp, pack tents, rest and acclimatize, – says Aidos. – At 2 a.m. we continued our way to the peak, and at 4 a.m. we reached the Komsomol Pass. Having had a little rest, at 5am we started climbing the most difficult section of the Almaty peak.

Apart from mountaineering, Aidos is fond of other sports and defends the company’s honour in various sporting events. This includes such events as marathons and relay races. For him, sport is not only a hobby, but also a way to maintain his physical shape and temper his willpower.

– This time, going on a climb, I took the AlES flag with me. It was important for me to show that there is such a company, which has been working for many decades for the benefit of people, so that there would be light and warmth in every house, – Aydos Massiraliyev said. – The flag of AlES flying at the top speaks about our company and its professional employees. I am proud to work in such a company, proud of my colleagues, knowing how bravely and conscientiously they work. And I am glad that I was able to contribute to the image of the company.
