ZTK: The annual heat supply plan has been exceeded
In 2019, the Western Thermal Complex (ZTK) released 617 thousand Gcal from the collectors. The annual heat supply plan was 600 thousand Gcal. ZTK is a peak heat source that comes into operation when other sources owned by AlES JSC are loaded to the maximum. Therefore, the amount of heat supplied varies significantly from year to year. So, for example, over the past 20 years, the maximum heat supply was in 2012 – 1,433 thousand Gcal, but the minimum was in 2016 – 398 thousand Gcal.
— From October 11, 2019, at the Western Thermal Complex, network pumps were put into operation and the hydraulic mode of heating networks in the city was adjusted; from October 13, heat supply to consumers began. Annual work during the heating season is always considered very responsible. Our team works clearly and harmoniously,” shared Alibek Tastanbekov, managing director of ZTK.
Let us recall that the project of the Western District Boiler House (ZRK) was approved by the decision of the Almaty Economic Council in 1961. Construction began in 1962. Now the Western Thermal Complex includes three district boiler houses, two central heat distribution points and a pumping station. The total installed thermal capacity of the ZTK is 1100 Gcal/hour. Available thermal power is 908.8 Gcal/hour.
