The Youth Council “Keleshek”, the TOP “Trade Union Center of Almaty”, the Department of Youth Policy of Almaty held a youth forum at the end of last year. Forum participants are heads of the Almaty city Akimat, members of the Youth Affairs Commission, representatives of the Council of Veterans of the Federation of Trade Unions, the Nur Otan party, the Zhas Otan youth wing, the Youth Congress, the Keleshek youth wing of trade unions, and activists of trade union organizations in Almaty.

The main objectiveseventimplement the Federation’s youth policy, involve young people in the trade union movement, create conditions for young people to participate in decision-making and trade union actions, exchange experience of trade union organizations in the field of youth policy, and involve state, executive bodies, and non-governmental organizations in youth issues. “As an occupational safety and health inspector, I can say that the safety and protection of the worker comes first. Questions regarding worker safety and protection were raised at the forum. We have extensive experience in this area. We are manufacturers and follow all safety regulations. I shared my experience, told how the social protection system works in our company, and made sure that our social programs are the best compared to other organizations. We are all proud that we received the award for “Best Collective Agreement,” shared activist of the youth organization Shyngys Rakhatov.

“Last year I participated in the Republican Congress of Working Youth of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Atyrau. Issues of working youth of Atyrau region and Kazakhstan, problems of TB, social support, personnel reserve and professional development were discussed. We shared our experience. This was the beginning of the republican project Territorial Union of Trade Unions”Keleshek”. In the future, we planned to cover the whole of Kazakhstan, unite the active youth of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And we succeeded. We were able to establish communication not only between the organizations of the city of Almaty, but also with other cities of Kazakhstan. At the forum, we discussed projects that we plan to carry out in 2018 with the support of theBoard of Youth Policy of Almaty.
