A meeting of the Youth Council of the Group of companies of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna” (hereinafter referred to as the Fund) was held in Astana. The event was attended by more than 150 activists of the Fund’s portfolio companies: JSC “Samruk-Kazyna”, JSC “Samruk-Energo”, JSC “KEGOC”, JSC “Air Astana”, JSC “NC Kazatomprom”, JSC “Kazakhtelecom”, JSC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”, JSC “Kazpost”, JSC “Kazmunaygas”, “Zhas Orken”, JSC ” NGK “Tau Ken Samruk”, “Samruk-Kazyna Contract”, “Samruk Kazyna Trust”. JSC ” Almaty Electric Power Stations “was represented by Fariza Botakarayeva, Chairman of the youth organization”Zharkyn Bolashak”.

The event is initiated by the Center for Social Interaction and Communication (CSIC) with the support of the Foundation.

Everyone knows that not all companies have a youth policy. I am proud to say that the Youth Organization “Zharkyn Bolashak” of JSC “AlES” is the leader among SDCs of JSC “Samruk-Energo”. We are already 6 years old. I would like to thank our guys who are actively involved everywhere and in everything. I appreciate and remember every moment…

The event consisted of two blocks: “Digitalization: a ticket to the future or an illusion?” and ” It’s good where we are.”

In the section ” Digitalization: a ticket to the future or an illusion?” speakers from the young managers of the Foundation made presentations. They presented their methods and told what technologies are used in their work. Digitalization simplifies our lives as much as possible and makes it possible to save our time. We can quickly get the necessary information and any types of services at the right time via a smart phone without leaving your home. Just register your phone number once, get an EDS, and so on. They also said that today in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the electronic government has more than 450 types of automated services, and this is just the beginning. Digitalization is developing every day and the number of users is growing. The speakers called on young people to digitalize themselves and set an example for other citizens of Kazakhstan. If we talk about digitalization, then I would like to say a special thank you to the portal Egov.kz.

I liked the second block most of all: “It’s good where we are”, Talgat Kaliyev performed. He is the head of the research center “Youth”, a well – known political scientist, candidate of political Sciences-continued Fariza Botakarayeva.

– I see that a lot of our young people work in the structures of the UN, Wall Street and in Silicon Valley. Is it a bad thing that our young people realize themselves there? Unfortunately, we do not have enough niches in the economy today to provide them all with the opportunity for self-realization, ” Talgat Kaliyev said. – Moreover, all of them are registered at the consulate, all of them retain their Kazakh passports, and all plan to return to their homeland in the future. If they gain experience there today, working in the corporate sector, I think that in the future they will contribute to the development of our country. On the other hand, it is bad that our young people migrate from our country. For example, about 7,000 young people are leaving Kazakhstan in search of a job where they can implement ce6ya.

He also stressed that he appreciates such people who are able to effectively use and correctly allocate time. Jokingly shared that when he invites young professionals for an interview, he records the time. If the candidate is late or arrives early, then the young specialist’s chance of getting a job decreases. He values his own and other people’s time. In his opinion, every person should use time effectively not only in work, but also in routine life, too.

In the afternoon, we competed in an intellectual game – Prime Games. 14 teams took part in the game. The game consisted of three rounds. The format reminded me of the game ” What? Where? When?”. Our colleagues often conduct such games as “TOP Brain”. In 2018, we held in Almaty among the Fund’s subsidiaries and affiliates. We plan to hold another one in 2019. According to the results of the game, the first place was taken by the team of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna”, the second place – JSC “Air Astana”, the third place – JSC “KEGOC”.

The head of the center noted that the World Health Organization has published new age rules, according to which young people are under 44 years old. He also emphasized the “Zhas Orken” program, which trains new, young future managers. Perhaps in 10 years, they may be among the management teams of our large companies in the country.

– CVC is able to organize large-scale events. The team of Yerbol Amangeldievich are competent, positive and talented young specialists who are masters of their craft. Everything is cohesive and clearly organized. We were also present at the first Youth Export Advisory Council in Shymkent, which was held in 2018. Today’s event is a continuation. Everyone especially remembered DJ Adilkhan. 95% of those present in the hall were shocked by Adilkhan’s skill. I think that everyone is not destined to be such a super resourceful DJ, ” Fariza Botakarayeva shared her impressions.

2019 is the Year of Youth in Kazakhstan. Large-scale events, programs and projects are planned in all regions of Kazakhstan. The youth organization “Zharkyn Bolashak” will participate in them and work for the benefit of the country.
