As part of the strategic modernization of AlES JSC’s departments, at the beginning of the year, Chief Engineer Zhanabek Adilkhanov and Head of the Metals and Welding Service Yuri Shikhanov made a business trip to the People’s Republic of China. The purpose of the trip was to familiarize themselves with the production and quality of welding materials, pipes and sheet metal products, which are important components for our company.

The key point of the business trip was a meeting with the management of a large Chinese electrical engineering company CNEEC in Beijing. This company is included in the list of 225 best international suppliers.

– After an exchange of information, the parties decided to visit a welding consumables factory in Shanghai and Wuxi Huaguang, a company specializing in the production of steel pipes in Wuxi. We provided samples of welding electrodes and steel pipes for joint testing in the laboratories of these factories, said Zhanabek Adilkhanov, Chief Engineer at the Сompany.

Yury Shikhanov, Head of the Metals and Welding Service, shared his impressions of the trip:

– The results of preliminary tests confirmed the compliance of the submitted samples and certificates of Chinese manufacturers with our quality requirements. For the purpose of more detailed analysis, the Chinese partners handed over the product samples to the Metal and Welding Service laboratories for research, based on the results of which a final decision will be made on the conformity of the products to our requirements.

Special attention was paid to the visit to the production workshop of Wuxi Huaguang Company, where the representatives of AlES JSC learnt that it is a subcontractor of Dongfang Boiler сompany, which, in its turn, participates in the reconstruction of CHPP-2 n.a. A.Zhakutov. This confirms the potential of Chinese partners in providing energy projects with high quality products.

Partnership with Chinese companies opens new perspectives for modernisation and development of energy facilities of the AlES JSC.
