The new year and responsibility of duty personnel chpp-1 named after B.Orazbayev
Power engineers are indispensable heroes who ensure the smooth operation of enterprises and the entire infrastructure. Their work, although hidden from ordinary view, plays a key role in the daily life of every Kazakhstani citizen.
A special atmosphere reigns at CHPP during these festive days. The station is decorated with smart Christmas trees, bright lights and smiles, which creates an atmosphere of magic and festivity. Power engineers celebrate not only their personal achievements, but also solidarity in the team, cohesion and willingness to work together regardless of the challenges they face. We visited CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev and got acquainted with the B Watch of different shops of the plant.
Mukhtar Altybaev, machinist of the central heat control panel, 5th grade, boiler shop
For many people, New Year’s Eve is a time of joy, celebration and expectation of a miracle. But for some people, like me, this holiday becomes special because it is accompanied by responsibility to society.
My work at CHPP-1 named after B.Orazbayev is not only a profession, but also a part of my contribution to people’s well-being. Every day when I go on shift, I realise that my work provides light and heat for many people. This thought warms my heart and fills it with warmth and pride for what I do.
For me, the New Year is not only a time of taking stock and making plans for the future. It is an atmosphere of hoping for the best, believing that everything new will be beautiful and bright. The first snow, streets and houses decorated with garlands, the smell of tangerines – all these are symbols of the coming holiday, which brings joy and excitement.
Of the 16 years I spent at CHPP-1, I met seven New Years on duty. And while some might be upset, I have found joy in that. Our station is a big family, and the holiday is always with us. With family, we greet each other via video link and exchange gifts. I prepare gifts for my children in advance so that they find them under the Christmas tree.
New Year’s Eve duty is almost no different from usual. At our station, work always requires special responsibility. And the tradition of celebrating New Year’s Eve with our entire shift without time off is our way of celebrating this holiday together.
Happy New Year! I wish everyone to get rid of tension and increase the power of happiness and good luck in the coming year. May it be full of joy and light for each of you.
Khakimzhan Nurmashov, boiler shop’s 4th grade bypass machinist
The New Year always brings with it excitement and anticipation of change. But for those who celebrate it in the workplace, it is a special feeling mixed with responsibility and New Year’s spirit. I have celebrated New Year’s Eve at work many times, and each time it is a new experience. There are times when my colleagues and I organise special festive events, decorate our workspace and share the experience with each other. Of course, there is a certain wistfulness of being away from family during these moments. However, I don’t let that overshadow the festivities. When I receive greetings from my family, I also enjoy the opportunity to wish everyone good health, good luck and fulfilment of wishes for the coming year.
For me, the New Year shift is not only the beginning of a new working year, but also a kind of symbol of new opportunities, hope and inspiration. I believe that each of us will be able to fulfil our plans and achieve our goals in the year that has just begun.
May the New Year bring joy, happiness and new achievements to everyone. May it become a time when we gain new strength and energy to fulfil our dreams. Happy New Year!
Oksana Gopak, 4th grade steam turbine operator of the turbine shop
My work at CHPP-1 is not only a duty, but also a source of joy and success. Working here, I feel responsible for the reliable operation of equipment, electricity and heat production. This profession brings a stable income, but the main thing is satisfaction from what we do.
New Year for me has always been associated with family warmth and memories of the happiest moments from my childhood. It is a time when deep in my soul the memories of those unique moments come alive, when everything was filled with wonder and joy.
My experience at CHPP-1 includes the third night shift on New Year’s Eve. Despite the fact that it is a time of holidays and family socialising, the shift remains a working day for me. New Year’s Eve night at the station is no different from other shifts – it’s a normal job where each of us fulfils our duties.
However, at this special hour, when midnight falls, I find an opportunity to wish my children a Happy New Year. This is the moment when my work and my family happiness intersect.
I would like to wish the entire staff of the station good health, prosperity and successful work in the New Year. May our work continue to bring light and warmth, and each of us feel joy and satisfaction from what we do.
Yerden Kurmanov, electrician on duty for maintenance of electrical equipment of power plants, 5th grade, Electrical Shop
For me, New Year’s Eve has always been a special time. It is a holiday that will forever be a part of my childhood – a time filled with magic and miracles. And although now this holiday brings new experiences, it always remains a source of inspiration.
The New Year’s mood seems to take me back to my childhood. Three times I was on duty on New Year’s Eve. For me, they were days filled with ordinary work, but always with a festive mood. At work with colleagues we set the table with treats, everyone brings something from home – sweets, salads and other goodies.
I dream of new achievements and growth in the New Year. Every New Year is not only a time for memories, but also an opportunity to set new goals and strive for their realisation.
I would like to wish all my colleagues a trouble-free heating season, successful and promising work. May our persistence and aspiration for development lead us to new heights. Happy New Year and new opportunities!
Bakytzhan Mukhametzhanov, shift supervisor of the electric shop
Work for me is not just a profession, it is a way of life. Ensuring uninterrupted and economical operation of the station’s electrical equipment, fulfilment of the dispatcher’s load schedule – this is my daily routine. But the New Year undoubtedly means something more.
This holiday is filled with family joy, cheerful fireworks, expectation of gifts and warm congratulations. New Year is a symbol of welcoming something new, something bright and joyful. It brings excitement, a fairytale feeling, inspiration and smiles. It is a time when memories of Father Christmas, Snow Maiden and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree come to mind.
For me, New Year’s Eve at the station is already becoming a tradition – this will probably be the third or fourth time. There are advantages and disadvantages. After the shift there is an opportunity to spend two days with family and friends, to congratulate everyone and spend time visiting. However, it is sad to realise that you will not be able to celebrate the holiday with your family.
Our shift celebrates New Year’s Eve at work. We arrange a festive table and at midnight we congratulate each other and then our loved ones. Despite being on duty, we have the opportunity to create a festive atmosphere and pass the warmth of the holiday to each other.
Although the shift on New Year’s Eve does not differ from the usual work, we work in a regular mode.
From the bottom of my heart I wish everyone trouble-free work, good luck, good health, financial prosperity and a peaceful sky above our heads. May the New Year bring joy and light mood in the hearts of each of you!
Sergey Gopak, shift supervisor of the turbine shop
Work for me is more than just responsibilities. It is my favourite job, and in it I find not only responsibility for fulfilling my tasks, but also a part of my life. Maintaining a stable regime, controlling the electrical and heat load, and making sure the equipment is in good working order – these are the components of my professional daily routine.
New Year is certainly one of the most awaited events of the year. It is the time when you want to be at home with your family and celebrate this important holiday in an atmosphere of warmth and cosiness. New Year fireworks, sincere smiles, carefree happiness and communication with loved ones – that’s what makes this holiday so magical and favourite for both children and adults.
But this year I have to celebrate New Year’s Eve at work. The duty on this night is no different from the usual shift. Despite this, we don’t get upset, realising that it is part of our job and we do it even in such festive moments.
We make phone calls to our family and friends and wish them a Happy New Year, even if we are not together, but in our hearts we are with them.
From the bottom of my heart I would like to wish everyone good health, prosperity, happiness and success in their work. May the coming year bring you much joy and unforgettable moments, and may your work be successful and accident-free.
Alisher Teltai, boiler shop machinist of 3rd grade
My work is not just a profession, it is my self-fulfilment and responsibility. What is important is that I benefit people by providing warmth and cosiness in their homes. Every holiday is attractive in its own way, but New Year has always been special for me. It is a magical time that everyone, regardless of age, looks forward to.
New Year mood for me is the smell of a fresh Christmas tree, falling snowflakes and happy smiles on the faces of those around me. This New Year’s Eve will be the first time I will be working on this night. Previously, I always met it with my family, because it is a particularly family holiday. However, despite this, I am not upset, but on the contrary, I am glad that I will be able to meet this magical moment with my second family – the team.
The shift on this New Year’s Eve is no different from the usual one. We have a continuous technological process, and it is impossible to relax. Everything is still to be at the peak of responsibility.
Despite the physical absence of family, we still find ways to greet each other via video call. My loved ones understand that this is part of my job and support me during this important time. My colleagues have shared one of the main traditions – to celebrate this holiday with our entire “B” shift together, without any time off!
I wish everyone an energetic, bright and light year. After all, for us, true power engineers, this year should be exactly like that.
Murat Moldabaev, shift supervisor of the boiler shop
In our work, we are constantly in shift mode, ensuring uninterrupted and reliable operation of power equipment. Our main task is the correct operation of equipment and strict compliance with industrial safety, safety and technical regulations.
A new year is a time of renewal, of changing old plans for new ones, of revisiting the past and being ready for new challenges. I have already been on duty at work on this night nine times. Meeting New Year’s Eve with colleagues has its perks, but not having a family is probably one of the downsides. For us, it’s just another shift, but with more responsibility. The New Year’s shift requires stamina, especially in maintaining a given heat load. May the coming year bring health, happiness and success to everyone.
May the New Year be filled with joy and bright events!
Oksana Eshmirzaeva, 2nd category apparatus operator of the chemical shop
My professional field is related to the important task of running the technological process of water purification, guaranteeing its quality and preventing negative impact on the environment.
New Year is a time of making cherished wishes and believing in miracles. These days, the heart is filled with a special warmth when, in search of gifts not only for children, but also for your favourite grandchildren, you start to create new culinary masterpieces and preparations for the New Year’s feast.
New Year’s mood is an opportunity to dress up in a “snowflake” costume, to give joy and support to loved ones, and to visit friends to share the joy of the holiday with them.
I have already been on duty four times on New Year’s Eve. Meeting New Year’s Eve at work has its “pluses” – as you meet, so will pass the whole year. This, of course, guarantees stability and confidence in the future.
The New Year’s shift is nothing special, but there is a sense of special responsibility. We strive to make this holiday special for every family, so that this night was warm, bright and cozy.
Working on New Year’s Eve gives you the opportunity to feel a little bit like a magician. Thanks to our work, the lights on the Christmas tree are lit in every house, and children and adults make wishes.
We make sure to congratulate the family. Our tradition is to gather in a friendly group around the table, congratulate each other, exchange New Year presents and, despite the holiday, get down to further work.
In the New Year I wish all of us trouble-free work, professional success, prosperity and health. May the New Year bring many happy moments, fulfilment of desires and new achievements!
The labour of power engineers invariably remains in the shadow of holiday lights, but their importance cannot be overestimated. It is thanks to these professionals that we welcomed the New Year with light and warmth in every home, it is their contribution to the safety and comfort of all of us in this magical moment of transition into the New Year.
