Safe flu vaccination: traditions of health care at AlES JSC

For many years, at the beginning of October, employees of AlES JSC have been observing the tradition of voluntary flu vaccination, which is an effective method of preventing influenza and is carried out annually before the onset of a seasonal increase in incidence, in order to strengthen the immunity of workers and reduce incidence in the autumn-winter season. period. Since immunity after vaccination only lasts for a year, annual vaccination is recommended for reliable protection against influenza.

– This year, the Russian vaccine “Grippol Plus”, which is a modern trivalent subunit inactivated flu vaccine, was chosen to vaccinate employees of JSC AlES against influenza. The vaccine usually includes two of the most dangerous strains of influenza viruses type A and one strain of influenza type B, and the composition of the vaccine antigens is updated annually in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), noted the head of the Department of Industrial Safety and Labor Protection, Karim Sartaev.

Vaccination of employees against influenza this year was carried out free of charge by medical workers of the city clinic No. 1 of Almaty and MC KAUSAR PLUS LLP, which provides services for pre-shift medical examination and examination of company employees. The vaccination procedure was carried out at medical centers of production departments and the Head Office of AlES JSC, with a mandatory preliminary medical examination and only after the doctor’s permission.

One of the long-term participants in voluntary vaccination, Elena Silvestrova, chief specialist of the Environmental Protection Agency, said:

– Over the past ten years, I have been regularly vaccinated against influenza viruses. I did not notice any side effects after vaccination. Annual immunization helps me protect myself during the flu period, maintain my health and the health of my loved ones.
