Reconstruction of facilities in 2013

The results of the fulfillment of investment obligations for Almaty Electric Power Plants JSC in 2013

In accordance with the signed Agreement “On Investment Obligations” with the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and AREM approved by the joint order “On Approval of the investment program of the Joint-stock Company Almaty Electric Stations for 2013”, AlES JSC carried out measures to replace, update, reconstruct, re-equip existing assets, new construction, as well as maintaining the current production level in the amount of 9.2 billion tenge.
As part of the fulfillment of Investment Obligations, the following main activities were carried out:
– Construction of its own water intake of CHP-1 (1st stage);

– Reconstruction of the water treatment plant (VPU) for feeding the heating network of CHP-1 (Stage 1);

– Modernization of burner devices of boilers in order to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides of CHP-1, 2, 3;

– Replacement of the CHPP-3 cooling circulating water automatic treatment system;

– Overhaul of the hydraulic unit No.2 Kapshagai hydroelectric power station;

– Restoration of the floor surfaces of tunnels of the operational spillway No. 1 of the Kapshagai HPP;

– – Restoration of the reinforced concrete surface of the culvert plate and the deformation seam connecting the plate and the threshold of the lower reaches of the Kapshagai HPP;

– Combined ash and slag removal system of CHP-2 (3rd technological stage);

– Reconstruction and expansion of Almaty CHP-2. The third stage. Boiler room (including collector and battery tanks of mains water) without boiler unit No. 8;

– Expansion of the “Small Field” of section No. 4 of the ash dump of CHP-3;

– Replacement of the roller mill MVS-125A station No. 11 “B” CHP-1;

– Emergency repair of the switch of the power line 2113 ORU-220 kV CHP-3;

– Work on the installation of fences of the Kapshagayskaya HPP department;

– Fuel oil metering system in fuel oil tanks of the ZTC;
