Public hearings were held at AlES JSC
On December 10, 2013, public hearings were held at AlPP JSC on the feasibility study “Finalization of the feasibility study for the reconstruction and modernization of the HPP Cascade of AlPP JSC” and the Pre-EIA section (preliminary environmental impact assessment).

A report on the feasibility study “Reconstruction and modernization of the Cascade of HPPs of AlPP JSC” was made by the chief engineer of Kazhydro LLP, Vilkovisky I.Ya. He dwelled on the technical condition of the equipment of the Cascade HPP and the conclusions from the analysis of the economic feasibility of its reconstruction, cited the parameters and type of the proposed equipment and options for its installation. On the preliminary assessment of the environmental impact based on the feasibility study, the director of the Ecology Agency “Ecom” LLP I.V. Komarov, who provided data on assessing the impact of the project on the nature of the ongoing activities for the reconstruction of HPP-1 and HPP-2.
According to the research results, provided that all necessary conditions developed in the EIA are met, the degree of impact on the environment is considered low.
During the discussion, specialists from the city department of natural resources and environmental management asked questions to which comprehensive answers were received.
