New approaches to ensuring personnel safety
On February 22, 2022, a working meeting on labor protection and safety was held at AlES JSC
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues to ensure safe production, improve safety culture, and introduce new approaches to the prevention and prevention of occupational injuries. The event was attended by the Director of the Labor Safety Department of Samruk-Energo JSC, the management of AlES JSC, heads of production departments of AlES JSC and contractors. The timeliness of holding a meeting with the participation of the heads of contractor organizations in anticipation of the upcoming repair campaign was noted.
We listened with interest to the presentation of Tulegen Maksilov, Director of the Labor Safety Department of Samruk-Energy JSC, which reflected new approaches to ensuring personnel safety in the workplace and measures for implementation.
“This is, first of all: installing video cameras in risk-oriented places of work of contractors with subsequent analysis of identified violations, conducting briefings with mandatory video recording of the process, introducing the practice of joint inspections of workplaces by the Chairman of the Board of AlES JSC and the heads of contractors,” noted Tulegen Maksilov. – An important point in ensuring safety in the workplace is the right of workers to stop work in the event of a danger to their life or health, which is guaranteed by the personal support of the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Energy JSC S.A. Tyutebaev in his Address.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that improving safety culture affects everyone and all employees, regardless of position, should take part in ensuring it. Fostering a conscious attitude towards compliance with occupational health and safety requirements on the part of each employee without fear of punitive measures should be the main result of this work.
Based on the results of the discussion, the meeting participants made decisions to implement measures to improve production standards and control safety in the workplace.
