Main environmental activities for 2013

Atmospheric Air Protection:

1. Measures have been implemented to reduce and maintain emission levels, in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation on boiler units CHPP-1, 2, 3.

The costs amounted to 911.363 mln. tenge.

2. Other major environmental protection measures to protect the air.

The costs amounted to 338.325 mln. tenge.

Water conservation and management:

1. At CHPP-1: implementation of measures for the repair of ash pipes, pumping equipment in the boiler, turbine, chemical workshops, treatment facilities.

The costs amounted to 79.3 mln. tenge.

2. At CHPP-2: restoration and repair of the hydro-soluble system, production systems, storage tanks of clarified water.

The costs amounted to 66.0 mln. tenge.

3. At CHPP-3: implementation of measures to reduce water losses.

The costs amounted to 3.6 mln. tenge.

Protection of land resources: Measures to comply with the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the area of placement, storage and transfer to recycling of waste of production and consumption have been implemented.

The costs amounted to 510.748 mln. tenge.
