Labor safety comes first

Every year AlES JSC holds corporate events dedicated to World Occupational Safety and Health Day. This year, on April 28, a visiting meeting of safety and labor protection workers from all production departments was held at the Cascade HPP. The results for 2022 were summed up and tasks for 2023 were considered.

The main result of the past year is that there were no production-related accidents in the company. Occupational safety and health services have carried out significant work to improve the safety culture and employee involvement in occupational safety and health issues.

At the meeting, a report was presented on the work plans of the Department of Industrial Safety and Labor Protection with consideration of the results of activities approved by Samruk-Energy JSC and AlES JSC for 2022, said Karim Sartaev, head of the department. – All planned activities were completed in full and on time. Tasks for 2023 have been outlined.

– The review competition “The best organization of work on labor protection among the production departments of AlES JSC” is held annually in order to improve the labor protection management system, improve the organization and increase the efficiency of the safety and labor protection services of production departments, said Aisulu Irzhanova, chief specialist of the department.

The results of the competition were announced on World Occupational Safety and Health Day. The Occupational Safety and Health Service of CHPP-2 named after A. Zhakutov was recognized as the winner of the competition among production departments. They were awarded a Cup for the best organization of labor protection work, a certificate of honor and a cash prize. The second and third places were taken by the safety and labor protection services of CHPP-3 and TsPVT. They are rewarded with certificates of honor and cash prizes.

“We would like to draw attention to the fact that for the second year our company has taken first place in the competition dedicated to World Occupational Safety and Health Day among the subsidiaries and affiliates of Samruk-Energy JSC for the best video in the field of occupational safety and health,” continued Rasul Onalbaev, Managing Director on labor protection and environmental protection. Videos created by company personnel serve to disseminate and encourage positive experiences in the field of labor protection, strengthen the promotion of labor protection issues, awareness and involvement of workers.

Ensuring safe working conditions at every workplace has been and will always be the main priority in the activities of AlES JSC. The company is constantly working to improve the safety and health system.

The active and active participation of each employee in the implementation of new approaches to ensuring occupational safety and health, improving the safety culture in their production departments will ensure the achievement of AlES JSC, the Vision Zero goal set for 2023.
