Key environmental measures for 2023
The following major environmental protection measures are planned for 2023, including:
➢ For the protection of atmospheric air:
It is planned to carry out work to maintain the degree of purification of ash-collecting devices at boiler units of stations, repair and replacement of air heater cubes, repair of boiler burners, emulsifiers, anti-corrosion work, replacement of metal structures, pipes, worn heating surfaces, measures to increase efficiency, eliminate violations in the technological cycle at boiler units, dedusting fuel supply paths, maintenance and adjustment work on boiler units, aspiration units of CHP-1, 2, 3. It is planned to carry out emission monitoring and impact monitoring at the border of the sanitary protection zone of all production departments and carry out energy and fuel conservation measures.
The planned costs are 671 million tenge.
➢ On the protection and rational use of water resources:
Measures are planned to repair and replace ash pipelines, pumping equipment in the boiler house, turbine, chemical workshops, treatment plants of CHP-1, to reduce water losses during transportation of ash and slag waste to CHP-2 and CHP-3, repair of the recycling system for industrial purposes (bagernaya, cooling towers) at CHP-2, sanitary and microbiological studies water samples at Kapshagai HPP. It is planned to carry out water conservation measures.
The planned costs are 118 million tenge.
➢ On the protection of land resources, rational use of mineral resources, flora and fauna:
It is planned to replace worn-out pipelines to prevent the spill of ash and slag waste and pulp, landscaping the territories of administrative-territorial units, increasing the area of green spaces at CHP-1, reclamation of degraded territories at CHP-2, CHP-3.
The planned costs are 39 million tenge.
➢ On waste management of production and consumption, radiation, biological and chemical safety:
Measures are planned to prevent dusting of the ash dumps of CHP-1, 2, 3, the disposal of waste paper, solid waste, mercury-containing lamps and other hazardous waste from the departments of CHP-1, 2, 3, ZTK, Kapshagayskaya HPP, Cascade HPP, PRP Energoremont.
The planned costs are 145 million tenge.
During 2022, it is planned to hold environmental challenges for the delivery of waste paper “#Battlemaculature” and used household batteries – “Battery – a second life”, environmental action “Earth Hour”.
Field actions are planned to clean the Pokhodnaya River, plant trees on the territory of the sanitary protection zone of the production departments.
