It’s worth a lot when you know that your work is really important…

This is what Natalya Grigorievna Chasovnikova, former head of the technical and technical department of Cascade HPP, thinks so.

In mid-autumn, the staff of the HPP Cascade saw off their head of the VET, Natalya Grigorievna Chasovnikova, for a well-deserved rest. The production and technical department (PTO) is the “brain center” of any department, where proposals, calculations and rationalizations to improve the operation of equipment and the enterprise as a whole appear, are recorded and adjusted.

Natalya Grigorievna came to the Cascade HPP at the end of August 2009 at a difficult time for the department. At that moment, the experienced technical maintenance engineer N.A. Sattarova had just retired, and the then head of the technical maintenance department, L.V. Stentsova. I myself only recently got a job at the Cascade hydroelectric power station and have not yet had time to truly get used to this position. Just at this time, the requirements for the quantity, types and forms of providing numerous materials on the formation of the department’s budget, including the preparation of applications for current and major repairs of equipment and buildings and structures, sharply increased. And although Chasovnikova N.G. I already had extensive experience in this area at my previous job, but the system for developing budget materials at AlES has its own characteristics. Therefore, I had to learn a lot on the go, master new programs – 1C, ABC, MRO, etc., develop all sections of estimates for repairs of department equipment and structures, purchase materials, draw up countless reports, etc. And since the deadlines for providing these materials no one canceled it, I often had to stay at work for a long time in the evenings and weekends, and sometimes take work home. The exceptional conscientiousness, diligence and diligence shown by Natalya Grigorievna in the performance of her official duties did not go unnoticed, and in 2012 Chasovnikova N.G. was appointed to the position of head of the VET, in which she has worked until now.

She herself remembers this time like this:

“I am a civil engineer by training, graduated from Semipalatinsk State University. Shakarima. Until 2009, she worked for a long time as an engineer in the construction industry. I came to Cascade HPP in 2009 as a technical and technical equipment engineer, and in 2012 I was appointed head of the department and worked in this position for 10 years until the end of my career upon reaching retirement age. The team of the HPP Cascade at that time was headed by B.U. Mukaev. – a demanding, highly qualified, very responsible and principled leader. The team received me warmly and friendly. It especially stood out that the Cascade HPP has preserved the best traditions – responsiveness, openness, mutual assistance, dedication. I believe that this is primarily the merit of the managers – B.U. Mukaev, R.Ya. Sayfutdinova. and subsequently appointed managing director of B.A. Sabyrkulov in 2016. These people are professionals in their field, one might say professionals with a capital “P”. They taught me a lot, and I am grateful to them for their support, for the knowledge and experience they gained.”

There are people who for some reason believe that by appointing something or someone as their boss, they can easily cope with any job, even one that they have no idea about. This is because for them, a leadership position in itself is a status position, in which you always know everything better than anyone, even if you are not a specialist. And the very concept of a leader is taken literally by them: the boss only has to tell his subordinates to do this, and to do this, then and then. They think that the point of their work is only to distribute tasks. Natalya Grigorievna is not one of them. With her appointment to the position of head of the VET, her work only increased. After all, the PTO can be compared to an army headquarters, into which all information flows and which plans the strategy and tactics of operations. In this case, this is constant comprehensive planning and provision of all current and future production activities of the department. Continuing as before to carry out all the main work on documenting the operational and technological activities of the HPP Cascade, she also began to supervise issues of capital construction, R&D, ecology, etc. But in order to competently prepare applications and then monitor the work of contractors not only carrying out construction and installation work, but also in a number of other areas of ordered work and services, you need to understand the regulatory requirements from a variety of areas of scientific and technical activity! Otherwise, how can one evaluate the completeness and quality of execution of the “Dam Safety Declaration” submitted by the contractor for acceptance with many calculations, or a multi-volume annual report on a multifactor inspection of buildings and structures, or, say, give your comments on the design and estimate documentation?

In addition to all this, Chasovnikova N.G. additionally mastered the difficult functions of a mode engineer and fully replaced him in cases of absence (vacation, illness, etc.).

And Natalya Grigorievna was also remembered by everyone for her responsiveness and friendliness. Here is what the leading VET engineer for regimes Vasilyeva S.V. says about it:

“Working under the leadership of the head of the production and technical department, Natalya Grigorievna Chasovnikova, was calm and confident, but now it’s very sad to part with her. This is a man with a capital P, and not only in such personal qualities as communication, politeness, honesty, responsiveness, but also in demonstrating the highest degree of responsibility and professionalism, the ability to solve production issues of any complexity in the performance of his job duties. At the same time, Natalya Grigorievna, when turning to her for help, never refused it to anyone, regardless of her personal time. The support of her colleagues in solving problems always came first for her, regardless of the lunch break, the end of the working day, and even weekends. Not a single event in our department was complete without her advice and real help. “Many thanks to her from the entire VET team for her enormous contribution to the production and social activities of the HPP Cascade over 13 years of operation.”

The entire team of the HPP Cascade, who have the deepest respect for Natalya Grigorievna, is ready to subscribe to these words! And probably her former employees will have to turn to her for consultation and advice more than once.

And Natalya Grigorievna herself is unlikely to sever ties with her former colleagues, about whom she speaks so warmly:

“Working at the Cascade HPP, I constantly felt the invisible atmosphere of the enterprise – awareness of the importance of my work, responsibility for the assigned work, professionalism, as well as a sense of pride in the fact that you work here. I would like to say a huge thank you to all my colleagues who helped me solve issues of any complexity. I am very glad that I worked in such a friendly team as was formed at the Cascade HPP; here I always found support and understanding. When you know that your work is really important, that someone needs it, it’s worth a lot. I wish the team further success, trouble-free work, friendly relations within the team, happiness and prosperity.”

For fruitful and conscientious work, for high production indicators in honor of the Day, the power engineer was awarded industry awards: a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Industry, letters of gratitude and certificates of honor. More than once Natalya Grigorievna represented the Cascade HPP on the company’s Honor Board.

All the best to you, Natalya Grigorievna! Don’t forget JSC AlPP and Cascade HPP!
